Posted January 27, 200916 yr Hi, I'm new here, and have been reading all the great info about Cleveland in the relocation guide and talking to people at work, but I was wondering if there was a consolidated site where I could find condos available for rent? My price range is in the 600~900$/month range give or take depending on the amenities. For some reason I prefer the condo/townhouse living to the Apartment living but I have not ruled out some downtown places such as Bridgeview and Perry Payne. A little about myself, 23/m originally from Arizona moving from Louisville, KY to work at GE up there at Nela Park. I don't mind a longer commute as long as I enjoy my living area. It seems like most the people I know up here are living in downtown, so anything within the vicinity would be nice. Thanks a lot for your help!
January 28, 200916 yr Welcome to the forum! HowardHanna.com lists condos for rent. Do you have any particular areas in mind?
January 28, 200916 yr You might want to check out Fries & Scghuele in Ohio City if you are willing to pay a little more for a nice new building with a gym. I've never been inside, so can't say how nice it is, but it's a condo building and the location is great (though not exactly next to Nela Park). http://cleveland.craigslist.org/apa/985135367.html Note to Uptown Cleveland developers, this is exactly who you'll want calling you when you have units built.
January 28, 200916 yr Stonebridge is condos and apartments FYI. My friend is in a rent-to-own condo and it renews each year like an apartment lease.
January 28, 200916 yr The areas that I have been looking are downtown...either Warehouse district or E. 4th, and the flats area also looked promising. I'm not super picky. I will get a better feel for the drive to work when I am in town this weekend to train/find housing. I would say no more than 30 minutes from Nela Park would be what im looking for. I am also gonna look in Shaker Square/Lakewood as those seem to be popular places as well. btw thanks for the quick responses!

January 28, 200916 yr jllim6585: I currently work at Nela Park and live at Stonebridge. I have sent you a PM. The power of Urban Ohio! Look at that! Of course...you know where I'm going now...drum roll. I would suggest looking at [glow=red,2,300]Shaker Square[/glow], Cleveland Hts or Little Italy/Murray Hill as all of those would be a pretty easy trip to Nela Park.
January 28, 200916 yr The Coventry area in Cleveland Hts is about 10 mins or less from Nela Park and will have plenty of units in your range. Lots of people your age as well. Very walkable neighborhood. The apartments are on the older side but have more character than most new builds and are (usually) very spacious. Park Lane Villa in University Circle is also an option at the same distance.... probably more expensive though. Within walking distance of the new transit corridor that runs downtown and located in the middle of the City's cultural center. In between the two of those locations is Little Italy. I am not really sure what you could get in your price range there, but it would be worth a look. As far as Downtown goes, I love the East 4th units. Grab one if you can. The Warehouse District can get a little crazy, so be sure that you don't mind the commotion before committing there. I am not a fan of a lot of the buildings around Playhouse Square (the theatre district), but there is a building that I like called 1900 Euclid where a friend of mine used to live. I am not a Stonebridge fan either.... but I tend to be prejudice against just about anything that is on the other side of the Cuyahoga River. :-P Good luck with your search and welcome. I grew up very near to Nela Park. Feel free to PM me with any questions about the neighborhood.
