Posted January 28, 200916 yr I took these today in the Short north/Victorian Village area today. This is my first post with pictures, so hope they turn out. <img src="http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2099/17/66/827777224/n827777224_1219009_6801.jpg"> <img src="http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2099/17/66/827777224/n827777224_1219013_3174.jpg"> <img src="http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2099/17/66/827777224/n827777224_1219041_1852.jpg"> <img src="http://photos-d.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2099/17/66/827777224/n827777224_1219043_2942.jpg"> <img src="http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2099/17/66/827777224/n827777224_1219044_3484.jpg"> <img src="http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2099/17/66/827777224/n827777224_1219045_4010.jpg"> <img src="http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2099/17/66/827777224/n827777224_1219060_9599.jpg"> <img src="http://photos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2099/17/66/827777224/n827777224_1219061_136.jpg"> <img src="http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2099/17/66/827777224/n827777224_1219062_663.jpg"> <img src="http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-snc1/v2099/17/66/827777224/n827777224_1219063_1189.jpg">

Other cities could learn a lot from Columbus. The sporadic shops and restaurants all throughout the neighborhood of German Village - not just a centralized business district. In this case, Basi is in a back alley. VERY convenient and walkable if you live adjacent.

January 29, 200916 yr Great set of photos. Snow covered or not, Victorian Village and the Short North are wonderful urban neighborhoods. We certainly got dumped on by Mother Nature today. First snow then ice then much more snow! Beautiful condo across from Goodale Park. Did you know that Columbus Blue Jacket Mike Commodore bought a $1million unit in that building? If you see a well-built 6'5" guy with a big head of red hair coming out of that building, that would be him.

Prices are pretty reasonable. Its a '15 dollar place'.

This is a very cool dynamic that I saw in more than one Columbus neighborhood.
