February 10, 200916 yr I'm actually thinking of doing a Bellefonte/Tyrone/Altoona road trip and visit horseshoe curve and maybe try to get some street running action in Tyrone. I'll probably do a thread when I go. Step2me, you were somewhat close to me when you were in Bellefonte.

Eastern Pennsylvania was one of the original cultural hearths of Colonial America... developing a distinct pattern of urban development and architecture which was carried westward across the southern Midwest (by contrast, the New England hearth extended across Upstate NY and the Great Lakes region of the Midwest).

True! Cleveland and northern Ohio were part of Connecticut's Western Reserve, and Cleveland was founded by people from that state. Cincy is more the offspring of the Mid Atlantic.
