The Atrium Tower complex comprises of two individual structures in downtown along East 4th Street. Atrium One, located on the corner of East 4th and Main Street, is a 20 story, 252 ft. tower that was completed in 1981. Atrium Two is taller at 28 stories, reaching a height of 351 ft., and was completed in 1984 at the corner of East 4th and Sycamore Street.

Atrium Two replaced the Cincinnati & Suburban Bell Telephone Building and a 7 story property at 239-241 East 4th Street. The Telephone Building was constructed in 1914, and was a 11-story, 196 ft. tower.

That's a neat shot of SouthShore with its reflection, and I've alway's admired that Adam's Place building.  What is the building you described as your "favorite beauty" in number 17?  I just love that facade.  It's gorgeous.

I don't think I have ever seen that William Howard Taft building before! These pictures have me missing those rare crisp, cold, sunny days with the impossibly blue sky that winter sometimes graces Cincy with.

How long has the Key Bank sign been on QCS I?  I have never noticed it before.

These are really beautiful.  Love the ones with the cranes.

Wide!

Great shots!

I've always wondered what the William Howard Taft Building originally looked like. I don't know the story behind the new facade.

They completely tore off the old facade when I think CPS bought it or acquired it in a land swap in the mid 1990s.  The building was down to concrete floors and columns and not much else.  I don't remember it being much to look at.  I will try to dig up a picture.

The Cincinnati & Suburban Telephone Building is still standing on 7th Street.... Or are you referring to another telephone building?

Wow, what a great thread.  Thank you for showing these gems.

btw, I think you meant to say January and February 2009 (not 2008).

These are amazing photos, Sherman.

What kind of lens were you using when you shot these?

A Nikon 20mm f/2.8 and a cheap Sigma 28-80mm f/4.5-5.6.

I love how the photos taken with the 20mm f/2.8 look.  So wide.  I envy people with awesome wide angle lenses haha.
