Here are photos from when I lived and taught English in Italy.  Granted, Cinque Terre and Portofino are fairly well known, but the Ligurian coast-line is often overlooked as an Italian destination.  Hope you enjoy.

I genovesi: For Italians, a very closed and cheap people.  Belief that this is formed by their seclusion from the rest of Italy (located between the sea and hills) and their origins as a banking center.  Other Italians say the Genoese have bracci cortini, which means "short-arms," on account of their inability to reach their pockets for money.

Great pics.  I've been to Genova a few times - the last was in 2004 when there was a big celebration because the city was declared the European Capital of Culture - I recall they did a lot of improvements along the waterfront.

Grat pics man!

Now the next time someone complains about a skyscrapper in downtown show them the first two pictures from this set.

That is density!

Nice pics!  I miss Italy!

Italy is so gorgeous.

Anderson, you're right.  They completely redesigned it for that event.

Everyone else, thanks for the compliments.  I will post my pics on the rest of Liguria and il Sud when I have time.

Thanks!

These are really beautiful.  I'm diggin' the variety too.

Thank you for posting those; they're beautiful photos, and the places are interesting to see.

Great pictures.  When I traveled through that area, I only made it to una terra, with plans to hike along the coast to some of the others, but I came down with some horrible respiratory ailment and had to turn back.  Still, it was striking.  We skipped Genova, but now I wish we hadn't.

very good. we've driven over along the coast from france, hung out and stayed overnight a couple times -- in san remo & in finale liguria. thinking about it, one thing that stands out on the coast around there is the automatic car parking garages, which are fairly common. anyway for vacations italy is can't miss!

Very nice,  thanks

Lovely.
