Angry folks, layoffs, almost Depression, and Chicken Louie's goin' out of business...but we have a new president and he's a man of color! So I went to the INegroation of Balack Obama and *BAM* photos from the trip + the blackest city in the nation! All in the "wonderful" month of January. Baltimore Washington D.C. - January 20th New York City - Not too many photos of this city (just one) as I (and other forumers) had some legal issues...so I was bitter...but I still love NY. Anyway...time for the Ghetto Superstars!!! Philadelphia + The Legendary Detroit! But even in Detroit, Yes We Can! Auf wiedersehen von Zürich! February 15, 200916 yr ^ that's incredible. a romanesque add-on? Well, let's just say DWB in the Bronx + Court Summons = Not going back to the Bronx anytime soon. aww christ almighty. of all the unexpected places to have trouble with jack the suburban cop. sorry to hear that. anyway, very nice on all the rest of the tour....which i hope was uneventful.
February 15, 200916 yr Well, let's just say DWB in the Bronx + Court Summons = Not going back to the Bronx anytime soon. That's crap. I hate how frequent DWBs are. I was in a car with two of my black friends and we got pulled over in Wauwatosa (suburban Milwaukee) for absolutely no reason. It was infuriorating to hear what came out of the officer's mouth. Anyway, thank you for the tour. I love the shots from Philly.
February 17, 200916 yr Damndamndamn! Magnificent set of photos! The inauguration had to have been an exciting experience; I can't think of anything more empowering to more people, regardless of skin color, on a national scale in my lifetime. We now have a president of stature comparable to other world leaders, and I'm looking forward to the repair and restoration of America's standing among nations. Among your Philadelphia photos, the mural in the last one is spectacular. The grit of Detroit is just incomprehensible. I haven't been there in many years, and when I last visited, the American automobile industry was still functioning and while Detroit had problems the same as many big cities, and worse than some, it was still a busy, active place. If any one image stands as metaphor for what has happened, it's Michigan Central Station. I'll shut up, now. Thanks for a great tour.
May 28, 200916 yr I had more bad dreams about MCS the other night. How did I miss this thread? You always have dreams about MCS, Hayward!
