March 23, 200916 yr The fog pics are cool! Thank goodness you made it to Cinci and back safely. Awe, you were worried about me? That's so sweet of you. I checked my trunk when I got back. Looks like I didn't black out and tie anybody up this time. :D

March 23, 200916 yr I dig it. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
March 24, 200916 yr My perception of Cincy has exploded in the positive direction. Thanks for the photos! https://www.instagram.com/cle_and_beyond/https://www.instagram.com/jbkaufer/
March 24, 200916 yr speaking of cinci & yikes....this made me think the "yikes i got water pouring out of my hands!" statue lady in cinci should get together with the "yikes my hands are on fire!" statue guy in rockefeller center in ny. i bet they'd hit it off, they could complete each other.
March 24, 200916 yr ^ this is what I thought about http://turner.com/planet/index_splash.html Lord. lol
March 24, 200916 yr I really love shot number 60 of the Temple of Love in Mt. Storm Park. Really beautiful.
March 25, 200916 yr Thanks for all the positive comments everyone. I found the Temple of Love kind of difficult to frame and I took about 15 minutes to take that photo, so thank you for the complement.

March 29, 200916 yr picture # 60 is nice .... perhaps it was only fig :drunk: I'm sorry, I really don't know what that means.
April 5, 200916 yr These are really great...glad you could make the trip to the country's next greatest spring break destination.
April 5, 200916 yr These 2 threads are great! You saw some places I've never seen, and I lived here for 25 years. Where is that statue of Lincoln in shot number 42? And just out of curiosity, why is Cincinnati your favorite US city? Is it just the architecture? Don't get me wrong, Cincinnati is MY favorite US city, but I'm from here so I'm biased.
The Lincoln statue is in Lytle Park on the Eastern side of downtown. It's a quiet little park, which is surprising because the freeway runs directly under it. As for Cincinnati, I love the architecture, and the terrain, and the history. But the part I love the most is the uniqueness. Cincinnati has a lot of pride in itself and isn't overrun by corporate chains. I absolutely love Cincinnati Chili. It's not the most healthy food option, but people seem to love eating it because it screams Cincinnati. I also love the neighborhood's of Cincinnati. I don't think many people realize how lucky they are to have all of those unique residential areas with their own parks and shopping districts. The character of the neighborhood's vary so much that it's hard to imagine NOT finding one to suit everyone within city limits. From Northside grit, to OTR density, to Hyde Park class, to College Hill suburban grossness, to CUF's college appeal, to Mt Adams' quaint seclusion and views, to Sedamsville's small town feel, to Mt Lookout's charm, and even Price Hill's melting pot. Cincinnati has so many WELL established neighborhoods.
April 5, 200916 yr Oh, I meant to ask again - what was the street in Walnut Hills where you had a less-than-friendly welcome?
April 5, 200916 yr One block from Eden Park on St. James. Here's a link to the spot: http://maps.google.com/maps?client=safari&q=St+James+Ave,+Cincinnati,+Hamilton,+Ohio+45206&oe=UTF-8&ie=UTF8&split=0&gl=us&ei=PkDZSZ3pF5GMNcjs9fEO&t=h&hl=en&cd=2&geocode=FRDyVAIdIMn2-g&sll=39.117775,-84.49321&sspn=0.009056,0.017595&z=8&iwloc=addr&layer=c&cbll=39.119679,-84.49067&panoid=PvthyA-0lc2p4a9zIMaUNg&cbp=12,124.47958821719021,,0,-0.37804878048780477
April 6, 200916 yr That sucks - quite sorry to have heard it...that's right near my neighborhood, and normally we're quite friendly! Hope it didn't turn you off to Walnut Hills generally!
April 6, 200916 yr Oh no, not at all. I run into odd people every day. I certainly hope that no one would get turned off by something like that. I had a lady act weird to me in Mt. Adams too. Imagine if that'd stopped me from going up that hill.
April 13, 200916 yr Is there any chance you can caption all of these, or most? As a transplant to Cincy, many of these are familiar to me but not most. I'd love to be able to check these places out.
April 13, 200916 yr Welcome to Urban Ohio!!! I hope you enjoy the Queen City. I'll try to get these captioned in a bit, but I've got class until 6 so it probably won't happen until tonight. Check back tonight.
April 15, 200916 yr AWESOME! I just learned on my last visit to San Francisco that Roebling also built the Golden Gate bridge with the cabling method developed on our own local masterpiece. Cinti rocks!
