Posted March 24, 200916 yr Alright, so finally getting my last pictures up from Sunday when it so nice out. These are just from walking around downtown taking some randoms. My favorite, I think I don't think you can argue against 4th Street being downtown's most photogenic street Anyways, I feel like a serial picture poster after all these threads now
March 24, 200916 yr Great photos... 4th Street is the one street in downtown Cincy that forms a true skyscraper canyon like you'd find in NYC or Chicago.
March 24, 200916 yr I like 4th street, but at ground level it leaves a lot to be desired. Particularly the area right across the street from Tower Place looks pretty bleak and deserted. The "Soapbox District" (still don't like that name) has potential, but other than Bang and Unheardof, there is nothing to really bring people to that area. I thought Boss Cox would help with this and liven the area, but unfortunately that fell through. Excellent pics, btw.
March 25, 200916 yr I dig it. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers

March 29, 200916 yr Great details; I've long admired the massive street-level masonry of PNC Tower. Carew Tower doesn't get a lot of attention outside Cincinnati but I think it's a great building, especially in the lobby and hotel areas with the lavish Art Deco designs and materials. I think limestone would have showed off the nice design of the tower, itself, better than the brick they used; the texture of the bricks obscures the lines of the building, in my opinion.
