Posted April 14, 200916 yr Hey All, I am in Cincinnati and I'm looking for places to book a retreat for my student group this coming fall. We'd have probably 20-30 people that would need accommodations in the cabin(s). We do not want to pitch any tents. Nothing over 5 hours from Cincinnati. We'd definitely consider out of state (KY, IN, TN, WV, etc,) so shoot me some ideas! We'd like something with stuff to do around it, perhaps some hiking or a lake, or something like that. Thanks!
April 14, 200916 yr As I understand it, this place is killer! (insert big chuck and Lil John canned laugh that is played at the end of every sketch.)
April 15, 200916 yr I apologize if the geography is totally wrong here, but what about Hocking Hills? I think that might be more near Columbus, but you said a 5 hour radius from Cincy so maybe that would work? There are tons of cabin rentals in that area. And great hiking is close by, with the caves/caverns and stuff down around there.
April 15, 200916 yr We had a collegiate leadership retreat at Friendship Village Retreat Center in southeast Ohio (nr. Cambridge/Caldwell) - bunk lodging is about $25 a person per night, conference and kitchen facilities are $200 a day. For a cool activity, The Wilds offers safari tours about 30 miles away in Cumberland, OH. Seneca Lake is about 15 miles away to the north. www.retreatandconferencecenter.com www.friendshipvillage.cc www.thewilds.org http://www.mwcdlakes.com/seneca.htm
