May 13, 200916 yr See you're playing right into the hype. Does it matter who you play as long as you get a W and championship? Yes. I want them to win the Finals just like everyone else, but I don't want them to win it with an easy battle. It's not the same. A championship is a championship. If Boston or LA don't make it to the (EC finals or) NBA finals, that means they weren't worthy of being there, regardless of what the media or oddsmakers say.
May 13, 200916 yr I agree with all of this. I will take the championship no matter how it gets done. But if you ask me: Dan, who do you want to see in the nest two rounds. I will answer: Boston and then LA. Usually I want those types of teams to go down because I fear them...but not this year..Our team can take anyone.

We also have to remember, Boston will be seen as "not at 100%" because KG is out, so if we win the EC over them, people will make excuses.
May 13, 200916 yr We also have to remember, Boston will be seen as "not at 100%" because KG is out, so if we win the EC over them, people will make excuses. True enough, but there will always be somebody making excuses for why any team won a championship. The best way to combat that is for the Cavs to win multiple championships in multiple ways. :)

May 15, 200916 yr What a crazy thursday. Houston beats LA again to force GAME 7...and Orlando holds on...another GAME 7 Cavs just rest and wait
May 15, 200916 yr The Houston/LA series is pretty boring--each team takes turns blowing out the other. I'm starting to think that Denver will be the western conference representative.
May 15, 200916 yr The Houston/LA series is pretty boring--each team takes turns blowing out the other. I'm starting to think that Denver will be the western conference representative. Me too! They have been beasts! My sources at the NBA tell me they are working on a "'Melo Vs LeBron" campaign if the Lakers don't win game 7
May 15, 200916 yr My sources at the NBA tell me they're going to re-run both Cavs home games on TV a week later so I'll be able to see them... They would have to schedule both games when I'm in London! "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck

May 15, 200916 yr You can record them sugar. Hello...DVR. I never tried to figure out my DVR, since I just use it to transfer videotapes to DVD. The DVR isn't even connected to my cable. May 15, 200916 yr Sorry, I just don't have much use for it otherwise. Next week would be the first time I've needed for recording a TV program. Even so, I rarely have much use for it in transfering videotapes. I probably do that only a few times each year. May 15, 200916 yr Back to the playoffs: I really doubt that Houston will take game 7 in LA. I just hope they put up a fight. I'm sick of these one-sided (non-Cavs) playoff games that go deep into the series. The Miami-Atlanta series was the worst, but Houston-LA is pretty bad as well.

Denver has played some very solid ball. Every team should take note on their play as of late.
May 15, 200916 yr We really need to bring you into the year 2000 That would be like me telling you to be straight. Sorry, but I don't do technology just to be up on the latest thing. Each advancement has to prove to make my life significantly easier. If I have to fuss with the technology to make it work right or to personalize it or whatever, it diverts my precious time away from something I'm already doing. And the reason why I'm already doing is because I probably enjoy it. If I enjoy the technology, I'll embrace it. If not, I don't. Now, to bring this back around to the subject at hand.... This whole Brad Daugherty dish of sour grapes is just that. The Cavs of the late 80s and early 90s was good, but they only made it to the Eastern Conference Finals once and lost in six games to Chicago. The current team has made it to the Eastern Conference Finals twice in three years. The first time it moved past the conference finals to the NBA Finals, already eclipsing Daughterty's Cavs. While no one knows if the current Cavs will again return to the NBA Finals, consider that one of their starters from 2007 -- Sasha Pavlovic -- is a backup in the 2009 version and two other starters -- Drew Gooden and Larry Hughes -- wouldn't be starting either if they were will still on this team. That's because this team is better than the 2007 team which went farther than the teams of the late 80s and early 90s. While I realize the quality of a team is often measured against that of their competition, it's almost impossible to compare teams in different eras. The only way you can do that is to see how far they advance into the playoffs. Daugherty is a jealous fool for suggesting otherwise. May 15, 200916 yr ^ hahaha! and you know what? when i look at that i hope next season when lebron sees spike on the sidelines at msg he says,"you did the wrong thing, you made your documentary on the wrong guy...and i want more rings so i ain't coming over to your sorry knicks...you silly little pipsqueak sucka!!!"
May 15, 200916 yr It got awfully quiet in the office. My assistant called me to the conference room and this is playing. I hate my staff..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtzQ0eXVoJo OK...it is funny.
May 16, 200916 yr The chalk commercial is much better than the three rings commercial. Edit: But none is better than this episode of The Lebrons... And stop looking at my lemonade!! May 16, 200916 yr oh man thats funny! they play chalk all the time, but i've never seen that one before thx.

This will again be a 7 game series. In my eyes, it's a toss up!
May 18, 200916 yr Should be a really hard fought series. I think it goes at least 6. I dont want to hear one commentator talk about how depressed Cleveland is, because Orlando isnt better. In fact, the lead story on yahoo.com talks about the 10 worst housing markets and Orlando is top 10. Maybe they should do some research. But anyway. GO CAVS

GO CAVS I'm not trying to give you a hard time, but asking a serious question? Seriously, why did you bring it up, its folks like you that can't let it go. What have you done or said to that/those analysts companies to inform them that their employees comments are not accurate? Orlando's housing market is perceived as one of the worst for a different reason, overbuilding and overpriced and it's in a one economy city. I think this series will go 7 as the Cavs, we've played horrible. Also, the Magic has to make the finals AND win in order to be considered the best in the East.
May 18, 200916 yr I'm not quite sure what everyone is fretting about with this Magic team. Granted, they shouldn't take the Magic lightly, but the Cavs haven't done that yet in trouncing two bad teams in the first two rounds. This Magic team lives and dies by the three which, last time I checked, the Cavs' D was best against in the league. (Cavs are actually a statistically better 3-point shooting team). And the Magic have NO idea who's supposed to get the ball in crunch time, while every fan from NY to LA knows who's getting the ball for the Cavs in crunch time. And if they looked like deer in the headlights for 6 games against a depleated, scrappy Boston team, how will they look about a true title competitor? Cavs in 5, maybe 6. Cavs/Lakers, now THAT will be a series. :-D
May 18, 200916 yr The fact Orlando went seven games against a depleted Boston team is telling. They were lights out in game seven from beyond the arc, but when they're not falling, they're very vulnerable.

I havent done anything about my complaints. Im not as proactive as you. Perhaps your voice is heard more powerfully than mine, but I wouldnt even know where to start with my complaints to TNT. As a Clevelander, I just dont want my city to be perceived as depressed and dead, there is too much fun and good things going on around here. Perhaps you are right about the housing market, but I have been through Orlando several times and it doesnt look like a hoppin place besides their tourist parks. Sorry to be off topic everyone. Ill get back on. I think Orlando can be very dangerous. In fact, my predictions are this: If Orlando gets by CLE, they will beat the lakers in the finals Or lose to the nuggets in the finals. If CLE wins, CLE could lose to the lakers, but not the nuggets. The matchups in my mind all bring different results. Its odd I know, but the offense Orlando plays would kill the lakers because they dont play good D for a whole series.

May 18, 200916 yr Yeah, Barkley was at it again last night... let it go or do something. If it bothers you that much do something!
May 18, 200916 yr I still can't get over Barkley picking Orlando over Cleveland.. if I see him, I will fight him.
May 18, 200916 yr Yeah, Barkley was at it again last night... let it go or do something. If it bothers you that much do something! Why not just let BelievelandD1 vent? Does he really need to send a letter to Sir Charles telling him he is wrong? As for the series, its going to be tough. I have a feeling Big Ben may need to play more minutes as he is probably the best defender of Howard. Ben and Joe Smith on the floow together might be the best hope. I don't see Z staying with him and Andy can't body him up without getting in foul trouble. We have a great defensive coach so I trust him to have the best possible game plan.
May 18, 200916 yr Yeah, Barkley was at it again last night... let it go or do something. If it bothers you that much do something! Maybe he already has! Do you really think Charles is going to change what he says based on a couple letters or emails from peons from Cleveland? We aren't all as powerful as you.
May 18, 200916 yr It's not Howard that concerns me. It's all about properly closing-out on their three-point shooters. Howard will get his 20 and 15. However, if you can limit Rashard Lewis and Turkulou, the are very beatable. In my opinion, Ben will probably match-up with Lewis more than Howard.

May 18, 200916 yr They get open 3's when we have to double down on Howard to prevent his 20/15 from becoming 45/20. We just don't have anybody that can handle him like Perkins was able to. That's why he worries me.
