Does Kent State draw almost entirely from Cleveland? I have never known a single person to go there.

Yes, but I think there are even more people here who are from Western Pennsylvania (around Erie and Pittsburgh), Youngstown, and even more who are from Akron-Canton.

I would agree, less Cleveland-centric.  I was just down there a week ago and of about ten girls I hit on none of them were from around Cleveland... good news for me!

Kent's branch campuses are spread around northeast Ohio (as far south as Tuscarawas County; Columbiana County has two) and usually serve as "feeders" for the main campus.

I'd say it also depends on the program - just anecdotal on my part but traditional majors (business/education/nursing) seem to come from northeast Ohio, but others like the journalism and fashion schools (both highly rated) have a much wider draw.

Also, Library Science -- one of only about two library schools in a state noted for its libraries.

In my class, in the architecture program, most of us were from all around NE Ohio.  But we had people from as far away as Pittsburgh, Erie, and even the state of New York.

In my studio we had people from all over Ohio and parts of Western Pennsylvania, some from New York, and a very small number of people from Europe.

I have noticed that there are a lot of girls from Strongsville at Kent. It is quite annoying because they all seem to have that retarded valley girl with a nasal problem accent.

That's my old fraternity house.  I graduated from Kent and I grew up in Western PA (Ambridge).  Most of the people I know that went to Kent were from W.PA. and Akron/Canton area.

Good school, but the social scene was far better than the academics.

Screwie Louie's was never in there, it used to be Moonie Gooses in the basement and then Y2K.
