We stopped here to get some gas on the way home from Gettysburg so I figured why not take some pictures in this tiny town of 1,725 (2000 Census).

Nice shots, that's where Maryland is only a mile wide.

Hancock is a nice community. I love driving on US 40 through the area, with Cumberland being the cream of the crop :)

So THAT'S what Hancock looks like.  I always pass the sign on the freeway but never stopped.  I DID stop in Frostburg and was somewhat, minimally impressed.  Of course, like Sherman said, Cumberland wins in western Maryland.

Cute little town, but the commercial district looks largely vacant.
