Posted June 1, 200916 yr The Cherry Creek urban area is located just southeast of downtown Denver along Cherry Creek and its bike path to downtown. The area is know for its upscale dining, retail, art galleries, residential, and mix of architectural styles. I hope you enjoy the tour. Interesting store. A quick look at some of the single family residential in the CC area. Nice tree lined streets with a lot of architectural styles and pedestrian focused.
June 1, 200916 yr I love the integration with Sears! It seems to be a very clean region with varying modernistic architectural styles. I like it.
June 1, 200916 yr This is how retail should be done. I also like the cleanliness and the mix of modern architecture. Thanks!

June 2, 200916 yr Visually very appealing, and excellent photos. Upscale shopping and residential areas intimidate me because they're way outside my league, though. No matter how hard I try to "pass," I'm always sure that the locals will spot me as a commoner and set their dogs upon me.
June 2, 200916 yr Very cool, I've never seen that area posted on the forums before. Thanks for sharing!

Haha, ironically I had someone come into my Starbucks in Milwaukee yesterday who was on vacation from Denver. I told her that I'd just gotten back from there and mentioned that I liked Cherry Creek. She then scoffed, told me that she worked at Cucina Colore (pictured below) and then told me that the people there act so rich, but she has another house in South Beach and that her Cherry Creek neighbors have nothing on her. Haha, I could never live in a place like this. Very cool, I've never seen that area posted on the forums before. Thanks for sharing! Not to be a b!tch, but you must've missed my tour 6 months ago: http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,18117.0.html Okay, that was a little b!tchy. Seriously though, I love the way the indoor mall is integrated into the neighborhood. The mall entrances are literally across the street from Cherry Creek North. The parking structure is hidden behind the mall. Thank you for the tour ragerunner, you did a much better job capturing the place than I did. How long are you going to be out there? Did you check out City Park, or The Highlands?

Did you check out City Park, or The Highlands? I now live in the Denver area. I had an opportunity for a good job promotion and took it. I have been to the Highlands and posted a thread on it a few weeks ago (I really like that area). http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,19122.0.html I have not been to City Park yet, hopefully soon. I really like the Denver area, its has a lot going for it besides just scenery.
June 3, 200916 yr It's all so new! It's not often that I enjoy modernism, but this seems to be tastefully done in a way modernism usually misses. Thanks for sharing.

June 4, 200916 yr The modern architecture is really nice. Lots of variation, and the stone looks great. I have a feeling it's one to two firms behind this. It would really nice to see more of this in the midwest

June 7, 200916 yr Something about Denver gives me the creeps. Do they have anything besides chain stores there?
June 8, 200916 yr Looks like a more urban Easton. If you're taking requests (No? Well, too bad!) Cheeseman Park and the surrounding hoods please!!!
June 8, 200916 yr Hmm...seems to be completely lacking the grit of a faded industrial past. :-) Everything is so sparkly and new-looking.
June 14, 200916 yr ^ yeah, but i have say i am fascinated with such a modern, stepford wife-ish alien world! still, i'd love to take a walk thru there and soak it up. i'm just afraid if i fell asleep i'd be replaced by a pod me! :-o
June 21, 200915 yr Isn't Cherry Creek one of the wealthest towns in America? I am talking Top 10 in the entire country.
June 22, 200915 yr Isn't Cherry Creek one of the wealthest towns in America? I am talking Top 10 in the entire country. To my knowledge and research Cherry Creek is part of the City of Denver. The neighborhood has about 5,000 people living in its defined boundaries with a mean income around $100,000. So, it does have a lot of money in the area.
