East west line should be the 2nd phase of the streetcar because it's a pain to get to this location.

The housing stock in that part of town is great. If you could build an actual functioning incline, you could have a regional tourist attraction and really help out E. Price Hill and Lower Price Hill.

Completely agreed.  See for example, Mt. Washington in Pittsburgh.

Mt. Washington is special though since it's so close to downtown. Plus it's across the river. Can anyone link me to any photos from the area? It'd be cool if it could happen, but people aren't going to pay for a meh view. Especially when you can drive up pretty easily.

But like Mt. Washington, East Price Hill has a long, linear view of the city instead of short, quick ones ala Mt. Auburn/Adams.  And thus, there could be some sort of Restaurant Row much like on Grandview in Pittsburgh if they really felt like it.

Great view - good for condos, nice apts, and some restaurants.  It would be nice to have the incline but first thing first focus on the streetcar.

^The pic the Enquirer is using in the link above is one of the best views of the new skyline.  I'd like to see that featured in an aerial on tv.  Or better yet, in Clooney's new film.

Not the actual project that was the genesis of this thread, but some luxury apartments have been rehabbed and opened in the "Incline District."  Enquirer story at the link:

They look pretty cool.

I went through the open house a couple weeks ago.  This place looks great inside and the lighting they put up on the exterior is breath taking at night!

Great!  They seem reasonably priced.  Hopefully they will be the start of something big.
