Posted July 1, 200915 yr Naval Academy My family and I decided to take a tour of the Naval Academy. This certainly was a well worth trip. The architecture in the academy is splendid (yes I said splendid). The architecture is almost all Beaux Arts. There are a couple of modern buildings which either are bad examples of Beaux Arts or completely Modern. The campus architect was trained in Paris for a number of years and took it back to Annapolis. The campus was very active since it was graduation day... These are the officer's houses... Campus Chapel (but a little more than just a chapel).. wait until you see the interior Apparently the coloring scheme is all wrong and was done incorrectly in the 70s (go figure). The university plans to restore the interior to its original coloring scheme. This was in the basement of the Chapel... Tomb of a very famous captain John Paul Jones This is the main building on campus. It houses the entire study body which is just over 4000 students Now the Interior.. Gift from Japan... School Mascot..
