I emailed to try and get the agenda and didn’t even get a response. It didn’t say it was canceled so I have no idea why the agenda wasn’t listed.

Had a proposal for 267 e greenwood ave to split a lot for 2 housing units, looked like pretty good infill on what is technically considered an alley. blade sign proposal for 36 e Lincoln st which is the new parking garage, and looks like it is a restaurant called Hiraeth and is from the people that have Chapmans. Glad to see it is actually opening. Edited July 16, 20231 yr by VintageLife

September 23, 20231 yr Earlier at the Lusso And one of the Stella from the south side of the Lusso site
October 31, 20231 yr Snatched a couple more quick ones of the Lusso on my way through Headin west on 5th

December 7, 20231 yr Latest of more than 1,000 new apartments opens near East 5th Avenue in Italian Village "The latest - and one of the largest - in a string of apartment complexes is opening off East 5th Avenue, part of more than 1,000 new apartments in the strip east of North High Street. Stella Apartments has started leasing its 135 one- and two-bedroom units while construction wraps up on its sister complex, Lusso, which will add another 288 apartments in the spring. With four townhomes also planned, the $70-million complex will eventually bring 427 rentals to the neighborhood. Stella's opening comes a few months after Crossline apartments opened on the north side of East 5th Avenue, bringing 180 additional apartments to the area. Several more complexes are on the way, on top of several to recently open in the stretch, which straddles Italian Village and Weinland Park a few blocks east of the Short North." https://www.dispatch.com/story/business/real-estate/2023/12/07/stella-apartments-open-in-italian-village-one-of-many-new-complexes/71757846007/
December 7, 20231 yr And the same is happening on W 5th in TriVillage. COTA should build a subway from Cambridge Blvd. to Cleveland Ave. to funnel commuters to the High St. line. (Oops, was that out loud? Wishful thinking.....)
December 7, 20231 yr Lykens, Homestead Cos. now leasing Italian Village apartments Apartments on what was one of the last undeveloped lots in Italian Village are now ready for residents. The Stella and Lusso projects, being developed by Homestead Cos. and Lykens Cos., are nearing completion. The Stella, located at 1011 Lusso Ave., started leasing last week. The project site spans 8 acres broken into two separate pieces, a north section bordering 5th Avenue and a south section between 3rd and Detroit avenues near East Alley on what is currently industrial property. The Stella is on the southern part of the site. December 7, 20231 yr First Look: Stella Apartments in Italian Village Leasing started last week at the Stella Apartments in Italian Village, with the first 30 apartments in the 135-unit complex complete and ready for move-ins. Also complete is the two-story community building and pool deck, which features an outdoor grilling area and fireplace for cold-weather activities. The new apartments are located in two buildings – one three stories tall and the other four – that sit on either side of a new street, Luna Avenue. The development is located near the eastern boundary of the neighborhood, stretching north from East Third Avenue. Work is also continuing on The Lusso, a 288-unit apartment complex taking shape on the south side of East Fifth Avenue. December 7, 20231 yr The mansard roof looks horrible but more housing is always a good thing. Maybe in 20 years these will all be replaced with a 10-12 story.
December 9, 20231 yr Columbus’ first ‘dog bar’ featuring a dog pool coming next year "All Paws Social, from the owners of the dog daycare, All Paws Retreat, is opening a “country club type dog bar” at 345 E. 2nd Ave. in Italian Village. The 9,500 square feet interior space will boast different play spaces, and an event space for dog birthday parties and even singles meetups, and of course, a bar that focuses on locally canned and drafted beverages (and hopefully hard liquor cocktails once there’s a permit issued for that, according to Goldstein!). Then, outside, there will be 10,000 square feet of an open play space, food trucks, on leash and off leash areas, an area for games and fire pits, an outdoor bar, and, the best of all, a dog pool during their secondary phase build-out. While you and your friends are having fun at the bar, your dog can play and socialize without you having to worry so much. They’ll have trained, vigilant staff members there to watch over people’s dogs, all the dogs will be vetted first (and vaccinated), and areas will be separated by different dog “energies” (loungers vs. high energy)." Construction starts this January https://614now.com/2023/food-drink/columbus-first-dog-bar-featuring-a-dog-pool-coming-next-year-here-are-the-details Edited December 9, 20231 yr by Luvcbus
March 4, 20241 yr I don’t recall seeing anything about this park getting some upgrades, so I’m excited to see this.
March 4, 20241 yr Park upgrades was always part of the plan with Parkside on Pearl. The extent of which has gone back and forth as the development of the site has taken the better part of a decade but there has long been an agreement that Wood Companies would help update the park along with the development of Parkside on Pearl. At one point in 2015 there was a competition for building a pavilion and the last number I found was Wood Companies would give 100k to an expected 250k renovation. Some of which may have been done a few years ago but not the larger renovation?
March 4, 20241 yr Here's the design (at least at some point): https://www.italianvillagepark.com/general-1

That's extremely frustrating. We are making these urban areas impossible for families to live in, which is a horrible long term decision.
March 19, 20241 yr Few more from the Stella And a couple of the south side of the Lusso -looking north from Stella
