Posted November 3, 200519 yr Check this out... There is a new magazine that you can find on almost every street corner in downtown Cincinnati. It appears to be an "MAXIMUM Cincinnati style" magazine. The girls/models are residents from Cincy. The magazine's can be found in the new pink newspaper stands that you'll find next to Citybeat and the like. http://ummag.com/
November 3, 200519 yr Damn! What part Cincy are they living in. These aren't the good catholic girls from Seton and Mercy. Unless they have gone bad . . .
November 3, 200519 yr It's funny, because you wont find any magazines in any of the stands??? They are going like hotcakes!
November 3, 200519 yr neat concept. regardless of content, i'm a sucker for well put together local magazines
November 3, 200519 yr Wow! My keyboard just got alot stickier! sorry, I had to do it. kidding of course
November 3, 200519 yr These are the kind of women you find in the office buildings in blue ash, they are just not showing much skin. ;)
November 3, 200519 yr >>good catholic girls from Seton and Mercy. Unless they have gone bad . . . ^Those places are notorious. Come on.
November 3, 200519 yr sorry, I had to do it. You mean had to make the joke, or had to do what you were making the joke about?
November 3, 200519 yr Wow! They even give contact info! So, who wants to e-mail her and ask her detailed questions about the bridge?
November 3, 200519 yr When I first saw that pic, I thought, "they can't start painting that bridge soon enough". ;-)
November 12, 200519 yr So I guess this thing is causing all kinds of controversy. Imagine that, huh. Channel 5's been airing stuff that last couple of nights about "how this could be picked up by your kids". Imagine the horror! People are even talking about legal action. One informed citizen even thought they should find the person who was putting this out and throw him out of the city. I picked up a copy yesterday. I don't see what the big deal is. Yeah, it's free. But a 12-year-old could legally walk into a bookstore and buy a copy of Maxim, can't they? Besides, most 12 or 14 year old boys already have at least one porno mag stashed away. (Or maybe that was just me.)
November 12, 200519 yr Bullshit. I am not saying the parents don't have the right to restrict their kids from doing certain things, but seriously, does anyone read CNET news besides me? There have story after story about the porn industry getting ready for the internet high-speed cell phone market.
November 12, 200519 yr WTF if it's no nudity in it. It's not a DAYMN thin they can do about it. I would counter sue and have them pay for alll the lawyers when they lose.
November 12, 200519 yr How much farther does it go than the pics posted here? Its no worse than the beach, and I am pretty conservative on this issue.
November 12, 200519 yr Come on guys, you had to have noticed by now that this is what Cincinnati ( hell the whole country ) is all about. The complaint's of the few ruin it for everyone else. It seems that it is the same 1% ( if that ) of the population that is always bitching about things like this. So I suggest that the rest of us 99% chip in to buy a small corner of the country for these people to live. That way they can have everything just the way they want it : no T.V.'s , Magazines, guns, video games or whatever else they complain about. OR they could just become AMISH and live that way. All I know is that these people really piss me off. They evidently don't believe in freedom of anything.
November 12, 200519 yr Besides, most 12 or 14 year old boys already have at least one porno mag stashed away. (Or maybe that was just me.)Get with the times, man! 12-year-olds don't need magazines when they can get lightning-fast porn on the internet! Come on guys, you had to have noticed by now that this is what Cincinnati ( hell the whole country ) is all about.Yeah, Cincinnati has a reputation to uphold! :|
November 12, 200519 yr What a bunch of drooling heteros! Can't you guys control your impulses?
November 12, 200519 yr Grasscat, I think I saw the same cheesy news coverage. Did it take place at Newport (AMC Theatre) and they interviewed some over reactive mom in a minivan? These parents are ignorant if they think their 12-14 year old kids haven't viewed Maxim. It is no different. BTW, I was downtown this afternoon and grabbed two copies near the Aronoff after I ate at First Watch. The first issue is always a collector's item. One is to be put away and the other is to read ;) on the plane tomorrow.
November 13, 200519 yr Cincinnati has another local magazine, Cincinnati Gentlemen. This was the one I was thinking UMM was at first. A bit different than UMM for us up-scale males. ;-) I was reading it at the eye doctor this morning, until my eyes got dilated and then I couldn't read anything. http://www.cincygentlemen.com/
November 13, 200519 yr ^ Thanks, glad to find another local magazine. I might subscribe to this one too. Ironically I have never seen it in the news stands. Cincinnati Magazine is probably the most popular local magazine.
November 13, 200519 yr So I suggest that the rest of us 99% chip in to buy a small corner of the country for these people to live. I think I'd prefer to build a large spaceship. Then we convince the 1% that the world is doomed (they'd believe that, most of them already seem to think so), and that we want them to be the first to our new planet in order to colonize it with upright, moral people (since they are the backbone of society). Then we tell them the rest of us will be along shortly... (Apologies to Douglas Adams, though he'd likely approve)
November 14, 200519 yr So I suggest that the rest of us 99% chip in to buy a small corner of the country for these people to live. I thought Cincinnati was that small corner! (j/k!)
November 14, 200519 yr So I suggest that the rest of us 99% chip in to buy a small corner of the country for these people to live. I thought Cincinnati was that small corner! (j/k!) Ahhh... The feeling of jealousy is so hard to ignore. ;) jk!
November 18, 200519 yr Grasscat, I think I saw the same cheesy news coverage. Did it take place at Newport (AMC Theatre) and they interviewed some over reactive mom in a minivan? These parents are ignorant if they think their 12-14 year old kids haven't viewed Maxim. It is no different. Oops...I guess I just blew right by this message. Yeah, that was the TV report I was talking about.
January 6, 200619 yr ^Catholic school girls were the "easiest" in my area too. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
January 6, 200619 yr In UMM the girls look kinda kentuckish. It seems to be geared toward the 12-21 yo boy. The 80's wrestling article was cool though. Guess I am just too sophisticated for that now 8-)
January 7, 200619 yr I'll take my Wooster Gentleman's mag, thank you. Nice Iron Maiden avatar, Maximillian.
