I found this in this week's CinWeekly. Sadly, it seems like the only portion of the paper which isn't available online, so I had to type it all out. :(

Take this fun quiz! Scroll WAY down to find the answers:

A lot of places claim to be in Hyde Park, but few actually are. Take a look at these familiar landmarks and discover where each one REALLY is!* Match the site with its actual location.

(A. In Mt. Lookout; B. In Oakley; C. In Norwood; D. Actually IS in Hyde Park)

1. Hyde Park Kroger

2. Rookwood Commons

3. Hyde Park Plaza

4. Hyde Park Square

5. Center of Cincinnati

6. Hyde Park Golf & Country Club

7. Hyde Park Commons Apartments

8. Ault Park

9. Rookwood Pavilion

10. Hyde Park Elementary School

11. Kilgour Elementary School

12. The apartment in this CinWeekly ad: "Hyde Park - 4139 Allandale. Nice 1 BR, ht/wtr/gar inc. on HPCC, $525."

Now count up how many you got correct!

9 TO 12 RIGHT: EAST SIDE EXPERT

You must live in Hyde Park and you know the proper geographic boundaries for each area. Your radar starts beeping when you cross into another neighborhood.

4 TO 8 RIGHT: EAST SIDE INTERMEDIATE

You visit the area often (or maybe you're new to the area), but you're not quite sure where the borders are. We're sure once you talk to an expert, you will.

0 TO 3 RIGHT: EAST SIDE NOVICE

You must be a west sider, and there's nothing wrong with that. We're sure you can tell us the difference between Price Hill and Delhi Township, but we'll save that quiz for another week.

(GRASSCAT: Yeah, dumbass. The difference is that Price Hill is in the city and Delhi Twp. is not. How hard is that?)

* Apparently there are several different boundaries for Hyde Park. For the sake of this quiz we went with the Statistical Neighborhood Approximations provided by the City of Cincinnati's Community Development and Planning department. So don't call us to complain if you disagree!

Hey I am an East Side Expert, that is scary. I did get 2 wrong though.

I got 10 out of 12 too, but I did guess at several--some correctly, some not.

I got 8. Not too shabby, I suppose.

i got 6 'right', because i guessed b for all of them, im an east side intermediate...who's never been on the east

11/12 :)

13. Hyde Park Lumber

14. Some sh!tty tv repair store that's called Hyde Park TV repair or something like that (in the run down business district of NORWOOD).

15. Hyde Park Biggs (it even says Hyde Park on the signage placed on the building).

Veritable establishments in HP aren't "in" Hyde Park, they're "of" Hyde Park.

13. Hyde Park Lumber

Well, they used to be ALMOST in Hyde Park, it was deep back in where Rookwood Commons was built, back by were Wild Oats/Old Navy is now, so they were just across the border then...heluva lot closer than they are now, on Red Bank ;-)

I'm somewhat ashamed to say I aced it.

i got 100% -- all of the above are wrong -- hp is in london

Ours is almost as over-priced.

yeah....almost - lol!

seriously, thats an enlightening little quiz -- its funny how some things labeled as such are not really in the nabe.

Three years later, the thread lives....
