I found this on packet on the County Website when I was looking for information on who the the statues that flank the top of the South and North sides were. It is a packet of articles on the Courthouse and the Group Plan. One is an article on the restoration of the courthouse and there are few others included too.

 

Any UO Shutterbugs want to get some detailed pictures of the Statues? I always have been fascinated by them but can never get a good look.

 

 

ahhh... so you were talking about the county courthouse, not the metzenbaum courthouse on superior... i see says the blind man.

Yeah, I pulled my original comment from Mayday's thread, it was off topic.Self-moderation or something like that. I used to walk past there everyday on my way from the W3 muni lot to Key Tower and never could figure out who they were.

Cool beans. I need to check and see if they do tours. After reading about all of the art and statues inside it seems like a good time.

Thaaaank you so much. Crazy they put those great statues up on top of the building where you can barely see them. They look to be holding up pretty well.

I honestly never really paid much attention to these statues...but wow!
