Just thought I would share this photo. To me it is quite funny. It was in 1983, shortly after the Loraine-Carnegie Bridge was completely overhauled. It was even featured on The Today Show on NBC, as they were doing a program on the re-naming of the bridge to "Hope Memorial" in honor of Bob's father who was one of the stone cutters, or of some importance to the bridge, presumably.

I believe me (foreground) and a friend were on our way to a game this day...and to kill some time, we went to the WSM and decided to pull over and have my Father take this quick Polaroid Insta-Matic James Garner special photo! Notice the shoes....socks, hair, shorts...and hat...The 1980's mid sleeve sport shirt! The car was the very reliable Oldsmobile Omega! The bridge pylons are in the back, of course, along with a tiny piece of a few buildings downtown.

Just thought I would share.  :-D

80's fashion was soooooooo unkind!

Haha! Go Browns! This pic is awesome!

Since we're posting game geeks on the HM bridge in the 80's...

Spectacular!!! Wasn't that "Light Up Cleveland Night" in '86? Looks like it... Browns beat Cincinnati 17-7 on what I think was a Monday or Thursday night special. I remember that!

Yeeeeaaaaaah, the '80s!

you kids should do like me, destroy any 70's/80's photos.

Boy am i glad i was only 3 years old by the time the 80s ended, and any clothing disaster then i can blame on my parents.

Well, it does look a bit silly...But, I'll take this any day than a lot of the garbage you see going around today doing the same thing over and over... with butt cracks hanging out in crap catcher pants falling to the ground...glamorizing prisoner attire. Some of the 70's styles are back...and it makes me laugh when my niece thinks this stuff is new.

That was too funny!  ROFLMAO

Kids are funny when they think something new to them - but old and tired to us - is "hot".

The "crap catcher" concept was inspired by me watching COPS and seeing these guys try and run in those pants....they're running scared and crap their pants in the process----BUT, the crap won't smear all over their butt cheeks because there is plenty of room in the crap catchers where it can settle. I thought these guys looked like such fools. Those are the last kind of pants you want to be wearing if you are going to have to run from the cops! Ha!

Yes, I know what you mean... My sister and me try and tell my niece that some of the clothes we see these days they think it new and hot...are actually inspired by some 70's clothes...the little flair at the ends of the pants... I could point out a few more, but I would have to see the article of clothing. Cannot think of the names.
