There are a lot of hospitals that will treat you for free if you have a medical problem and no insurance.  I got quite a bit of care from local hospitals when I had no insurance, unless you make like 6 figures or something, in which case you could be purchasing your own insurance.

Disfigurement of your feet is not cosmetic.  Why wouldn't you want to be more comfortable? I seriously don't get it.

What do you do to people who wear Crocs? Open the trap door to the Alligator Pit?

AJ are you an engineer by chance?

Banker, actually. I have to suit up and look respectable most of the time. But that doesn't mean I can't resent it.

BTW...the Payless look great with my suits......[waiting for MTS to explode....wait for it....wait for it.....]

Deep down, you know you love it. LOVE IT!

speaking of cheap shoes, I was in Kmart last night and noticed they're selling Joe Boxer brand Chuck Taylor-ish knockoffs for only $9.99. I admit they didn't have the heft of the real thing, but they seemed like serviceable shoes for the price (Remember when the Converse originals were only $9.99!). But I didn't bother trying any on since they don't come in half-sizes. Maybe I'll go back and have a second look.

You'll probably throw them away in 9 days.  You're probably better off without them.

you're probably right. Maybe I'll just spend the $39.95 for the real thing.
