Posted August 25, 200915 yr This caught my eye a few weeks ago when I was taking some other pictures. I really wonder what the story is behind this. Found it somewhat amusing. This is the bus stop on Third Street in front of Sinclair Community College.
August 25, 200915 yr So is the tied shoes slung over the telephone lines indicating a drug dealer in the area just an urban legend?
August 25, 200915 yr Maybe it's a wild and crazy idea, but someone could have just innocently lost their shoe. Although I will admit that is a very hard thing to do.......

August 25, 200915 yr I've known it to mean two things [*]Last day of school [*]Drug dealer spot. Shoes up top means stop here and look to the obvious "store front".

August 26, 200915 yr Being that the shoe looks so clean and new- I wonder if it possibly fell out of someone's bag? I suppose anything is possible. But I keep getting this image of someone trying them on and then the bus arrives and they take off with only one shoe.... :D Silly, I know.
August 26, 200915 yr Maybe someone with only one foot bought a pair of new shoes, and left the unneeded one in case someone else with only the other foot needed it. :-) I wouldn't be surprised, though, if it did fall out of someone's bag while they were waiting for the bus. Maybe a nurse or someone else who wears white shoes at work, and carries them to and from to avoid getting them dirty and worn from walking on sidewalks and streets. I'll stop babbling now. </ :yap: >
August 26, 200915 yr Reminds me of a time when my dad (who was a bit of an eccentric) was bringing home shoes, only he would bring home one shoe that he found (that is- not pairs of shoes). He told my mom he thought he might be able to sell them to people who only had one foot/leg. He did come up with some wild ideas sometimes! :D

August 26, 200915 yr Has anyone checked with Cinderalla? What about Dorothy? (Wizard of Oz) Ruby Red slippers are a lil bit low budget-hookerish!
