Well done!

Dayton has more great residential areas than I would've thought.

I would live there.

i had a huffy!

I agree, my first few trips to Dayton I only saw downtown, not the neighborhoods.  There are plenty more neighborhoods I plan on photographing :)

Good to see the old neighborhood!

A good example of a failed (or fading) historic district.

Hurry!  I hear the bulldozers revving up.

Nice Stuff!!!!!

The architecture in this neighborood is awesome!

Some rough spots, but overall it looks comfortable. I've always been fascinated by Italianate houses with belvederes (cupolas).

Beautiful church- Is that the one on Huffman and 4th?

Funny.

I just moved out of this exact neighborhood 3 months ago. Lived there for a few years. It looks cute from the outside, but the reality is that the whole area is consumed by drug trafficking and other crime. You learned quickly to keep nothing on your front porch or it would be stolen.

The Circle K on 5th Street there would get robbed weekly. Scary place.

Very nice looking neighborhood.  It looks like it is/was in the middle of a renaissance.  It's sad to read that it is failing.

very comprehensive tour...  Well Done!

There was a brutal gay bashing there back when i first moved to Dayton, except the victim wasnt gay, but a punk rocker with a wife or steady girlfriend.  I guess he had too much mascara on for the locals, and they just thought he was a homo.

The local live music community did benefits for the guy since he didnt have insurance (and apparently suffered brain damage from his beating).

So that was my intro to the Huffman area in particular and East Dayton in general.  I've heard about the crime and drugs thing overwhelming the area, too (in the recent past).

Nice pics, but not sure about some of the exterior paint schemes!

Nice summer pics.  I'm not sure what to say about Huffman right now.
