Magic Nate, a family friend, prepping for a performance @ Farmer's Market Church of the Messiah UMC These attractive lamposts, planters, and flags line the main drag all summer and are very well maintained An alley that connects one of Westerville's (hidden and free) parking lots to the main drag Westerville was ground zero for the Temperance movement The Temperance Museum is adjacent to the library This historic building is called the Stoner House...no kidding I told you so Presbyterian Church Church of the Master UMC, a former EUB church on the campus of Otterbein Large trees now hide the face of Otterbein's main campus hall Clippinger Hall on the campus of Otterbein Hiawatha Elementary Another stately Elementary School but I forget the name of it That's all folks!

September 10, 200915 yr Ahh, Pasquales...spent a number of evenings there during my time at Otterbein. I was a freshman when Old Bag opened and remember how big of a deal it was that Westerville was finally getting a place that served alcohol. Spent many of nights there as well (and one in that lovely police station you photographed)...
September 14, 200915 yr Another great set of photos. Thanks for sharing. The stately school at the end of the set is on the National Historic Register as the Vine Street School. However, its now part of the Westerville School System as the Emerson Elementary Magnet School.
September 28, 200915 yr ^ yep, that last one is emerson. great set showing my old work stomping grounds. looks great along that stretch as always. you know given the historic temperance history i am still p'od they finally allowed alcohol "uptown." however, the facts is that argument had been going on for a long time. there was a heck of a lot of pressure from all the new suburban boomtown newbies to allow the booze to flow there -- and so they finally caved. ah well. it sure doesnt look look like pottersville quite yet! :laugh:
