Ashley has a population of 1,216 and although located in Delaware County it has not yet been overtaken by sprawl. It has a tidy, tiny downtown and beats nearby Cardington's, which was bypassed and not nearly as impressive or urban despite being a larger town. Keep in mind this was on a cloudy, rainy Sunday, so there was no activity. I really liked the purple storefront, although it's unclear what it is.

Yikes....not the Delaware County one is used to seeing

Looks to be another one of the many cities that thrived/survived when rail was king, and has now faded into obscurity.

My complex has more people than this town but you know what I respect these people for still holding on.  Different way of life than I'm used to but definitely interesting.  Thanks for the pics.
