Posted November 20, 200519 yr I didn't even notice the license plate until I downloaded the image. I wonder if the owner is aware? The BMV probably did it on purpose, just one more thing to prove that government is evil
November 20, 200519 yr He would probably be very anxious and upset about it if he knew and would have to go get new plates so that he wouldn't be "bearing the mark of the beast". So what I am saying is, it could be fun to let him know.
November 20, 200519 yr Since there are number between the 6's, I don't see what the big deal is. It's random. "In the souls of the people the grapes of wrath are filling and growing heavy, growing heavy for the vintage." -- John Steinbeck
November 20, 200519 yr I knew a person who wanted to change the address on their new house because it was 6615. 66(1+5), get it? People who are prone to be superstitious will care about these things. And don't forget all the people who think that the number of the devil is somehow coded into all UPC's. BTW- best album title ever was some heavy metal parody band's "668- Neighbor of the Devil". Wish I could remember the bands name. A google search turned up nothing.
November 21, 200519 yr There's a pretty vocal community of Christian extremists in the area, and to them there's no such thing as coincidence or randomness. In their view, all mortal existence is defined by the struggle between God and Satan and they are Christian Soldiers bound to defeat Satan and give the victory to God. They perceive messages in everything they see and hear.
November 21, 200519 yr Well, you see, there is actually a "hidden message" in rob's last post. Let me pull it out for you: there's no such thing as coincidence or randomness all mortal existence is defined by the struggle between God and Satan give the victory to God You see, rob is really trying to raise our awareness to the struggle he sees underlying all human existence. Very clever, rob!
November 21, 200519 yr You see, rob is really trying to raise our awareness to the struggle he sees underlying all human existence. Very clever, rob! Clever, indeed! You're the clever one, finding me out like that! inkaelin, many Evangelicals believe 666 is Satan's number, the number of the beast, or the mark of the beast. I didn't even notice the license number until I downloaded the picture into Photoshop. I took the picture because of the stickers on the tailgate; I've been thinking about compiling a photo series on the presence/nature/influence of Evangelical belief in my part of Indiana
November 22, 200519 yr that is a cool shot, but it gives me the impression of a bunch of guys standing in front of their driveways drinking beer like "king of the hill."
November 22, 200519 yr inkaelin, many Evangelicals believe 666 is Satan's number, the number of the beast, or the mark of the beast. Yes, I have heard this, but what I am saying is that you are keen on picking it up.
November 22, 200519 yr With this post, my post count is 1666, and I've come to this thread to drag you all to the fiery depths of Hell. Or maybe the icy depths, as in Dante's Inferno. Whatever floats your boat.
November 22, 200519 yr Yes, I have heard this, but what I am saying is that you are keen on picking it up. Lately, I've been having to deal with my youngest brother a lot. Anyone who has an encounter with him gains an acute sense of the nature and pervasiveness of evil.
December 19, 200519 yr I once had someone throw a penny back at me when I was working the drive-thru at Dairy Queen. His change was $6.66
