Since yesterday, the forums have been veryvery slow for me. It's not happening on any other sites I visit.

 

Edit: For example, when I first created this topic and then clicked "Post," it too 1 minute, 50 seconds to post.

Our server loads are over 3 where they should be 1 or lower.  Thanks for the headsup.

As a FYI, there were connection issues relating to high server stress at ... 7:30 AM this morning (when I was up). Still occurring intermittently.

Intermittent episodes of slowness continue. Could the problem be related to the recent proliferation of spammers?

The server needed restarted.  So the forum was down from roughly 9:30am until 10:30pm until Coldayman gave me a call letting me know.

For weeks now I frequently cannot get on UO.  It seems to be ususally in the mornings.  I know the site is not down because I will check on my phone and I can get to it.  I get a message along the lines of "Internet Explorer cannot display this webpage."  But then later on, I can get on the site.  Anyone else have this problem?  (and no, I do not want to download another browser).

It's been very slow for me lately.

Working fine now.  I haven't been on much all day but right now it's fine.

Me again, with this again. It's not "terrible," but UO has been quite sluggish much of the time for at least the past couple of days. Sometimes it's near normal, but mostly when I click something, I feel like I might have missed it and should click it again to see if it works.

Me, too. I mowed my so-called lawn a (hopefully) last time and bagged all the clippings and leaves. Man, I was exhausted. Browsing UO, on the other hand, is so peaceful and relaxing.

 

I'm glad I'm retired; I can't imagine and having to spend a whole day at work doing the boring and unpleasant stuff my boss wanted.

Heh?  I have T1 internet in my apartment, but I feel like it's dial-up when I come to this site.  At moments this site will improve marginally.  But it definitely takes forever to get in from the splash / front page thing, or load up the main forum page in general.  No problems elsewhere on the internet.

This site is running extremely slow.  Any command I enter, it takes approximately 20 seconds to process.
