Like Bexley, this is an inner-ring suburb that integrates into urban Columbus. Grandview Heights is west of Harrison West, which is across the river. This neighborhood is also known as the Mt. Adams of Columbus due to its hills which are fun to bike down (not up) and the views of Downtown that come with it. Grandview Ave is the main urban strip and shared by both Grandview Heights (south of W 3rd) and the Columbus neighborhood of 5th x NW (north of W 3rd), hence why it's going to have it's own thread.

This is not a neighborhood that is scared of density.

I was hungry and Granvdiew is a bit too pricey for me so I headed up to W 5th Ave in 5th x NW at Graffiti Burger and the burger is better than DC's Five Guys (though I prefer their fries).

They even incorporated easy bike parking!

Grandview Avenue will be coming up pretty soon.

Now you know I love me some Grandviews!

What a nice looking neighborhood.  Thanks for sharing

Thanks for the pics of Grandview.

I spent a lot of time there...my aunt lived on Broadview (can't remember the cross street) and my cousin bought his first "starter" home on Ida(?). They have since moved to other parts of Columbus.

I remember going to the Big Bear store in a shopping complex nearby. I also remember going to Spagio(?) when it first opened...is that still there?

It's looking good.

Now you know I love me some Grandviews!

That place looks familiar doesn't it.

This is truely one of those "nice place to raise a family" jurisdictions. Grandview Heights has it all (except non-white people lol!). I would have loved to grow up in a place like this though.

Grandview is very comfortable.

One of my favorite parts of Columbus... had I stayed in Columbus and started a family I could defnately have seen myself there.

I love Grandview Heights, except for the cops! They SUCK!!! They seem to really despise those who live north of 3rd Avenue, i.e. residents of Columbus. ;)

  • 1 month later...

I love the little pockets of retail
