Since this is mostly about fast food, does anyone know if there is a Sonic anywhere in Cleveland?

And maybe diners should decide to cook their own food one day a week! It'd be a lot healthier than eating that fast food sh!t for every meal. And, yes, it's pretty much all sh!t.

And that's your business, why?

Because people are complaining about a fast food restaurant choosing not to serve food one day a week.  No business is under any obligation to provide anyone else anything.  Even food.

And not eating so much fast food might help our obesity problem as well.  I said "our" because it really does affect us all.

Oh, sorry, didn't know to what you were referring!

There's only 2, one just west of Snow and Broadview in Parma and one in Streetsboro.  I asked myself this question when I kept seeing Sonic ads on TV a while back.

Yeah, I tend to get too heated about food.  It's a pet peeve of mine.  I can't believe our society has become so careless (and carefree) about what they put into their body.

(the things I could say  LMAO)

I agree.  I look at my grandmother who completely turned her diet around after 60 years.  However, now she looks and acts 30 years younger.

Where's that pervert graphic? :)

This is a family website.  LOL  Besides you'd have to ask the folks who went on the GREECE trip for those "graphics"!

Thanks a lot! Althought depressing for me since i live on the east side, i might have to make a trip out to the parma restaurant sometime soon!

Your car really won't break down if you drive from the East side to the West side, that's just a common misconception.

My car starts to shake when i go around dead mans curve because it knows it's crossing the river and venturing into the unknown territory of the west side.

Just the thought of that is tragic!!  The horror of being stranded on the, (gasp) dare I say, the Westside!

Well technically you can drive down to Streetsboro if you really want to avoid crossing the crooked river that badly.

Streetsboro is actually just about the same distance from Mentor as Parma.  (I believe you said at one point that you were from Mentor.)

My wife made me stop at the Sonic in Streetsboro for a peanut butter milkshake on the way to my parents yesterday. I don't think she knows about the Sonic in Parma...shhhh...

Is Parma the westside? I always think of Parma as the Cleveland version of "fly over states"..

I think most people consider anything west of the river to be the westside down to about Brecksville, although I think of anything between Macedonia and Strongsville as being more the south side than anything.

Heh, similar to me, there's pretty much every possible fast food and cheap greasy food place within a 5-10 minute walk of my place, plus a few local favorites that are just as greasy and horrible for me.  I frequent them, yet somehow don't weigh 300 pounds.  I actually gained weight when I lived in New York City though, due entirely to the pizza and street meat.  I've identified those as my weaknesses.

Don't foget Panera.  To many people's surprise, it is one of the worst fast food chains with regard to fat content, calories, and (especiaily) sodium.

Wow...you kids are fatties in the making!

Wow...you kids are fatties in the making!

I'd definitely be in the overweight and obese category if it wasnt for having hockey games twice a week. Although lately I've cut back a lot on the fast food and other crap that i used to eat on a regular basis.

Thank God I'm naturally svelte!  :P

its alright, the sandwiches are ok and they have waffle fries. doesnt really compare to popeyes. nothing beats popeyes for fast food fried chicken.

Bojangles and Lee's both destroy Popeyes, particularly in chicken.  Popeye's actual chicken ain't that good but it's sides (re: biscuit) are great though they ain't go nuthin' on Bojangles.

I don't think anything at Lees has any flavor. I like Popeyes. Everything is nice and spicy.

Get the crispy at Lee's.  THEN you'll see why it's better than Popeye's.

I like spicy, but there's more to flavor than spicy.  Of course, I guess you could argue that in the fast food world, though, there isn't more to flavor than spicy and salty.

Oh, touche. Especially taco bell. No flavor OR spice. The 'hot' sauce is really mild and the fire sauce is really a true medium. Everything at Taco Bell tastes the same to me.

I like chicken to be spicy though because I dip it in ranch dressing. I think the two go really well together. (Yeah I know it's not healthy to dip fried chicken in ranch dressing, I'm like 10% bodyfat right now - kiss my @ss).

yeah so is kennedy!!!

those are regional chains and popeyes is much more widespread and available.

They doesn't mean anything.  In-N-Out Burger is a "regional" chain and yet it destroys McDonald's, does it not?

Bojangles is all over the damn South and Lee's is all over the mid-section of the country.  Even Buckeye Lake has a Lee's!

Well thats a ½ step above Sylvia's!  I wish Copelands or the M & G diner was still open.

This reminds me I need to have a meal at the Pink Tea Cup before it closes.

Sylvia's = $$$

Amy Ruth's = $

And agreeds on Copelands.

Neither one is expensive or worth the price listed!

I'm not saying Sylvia's is expensive but I'm talking BLACK FOLK prices, it's more expensive than Amy Ruth's.

I think AR is more expensive than Sylvia's.  My parents and cousins were there on Saturday and my father complained about $5 mac and cheese.

I just got the chicken and waffle (okay, the "Rev. Al Sharpton").  But I DO know I paid $20+ for some damn ribs at Sylvia's (though I will say her sauce is on point).

And there ain't (no) damn need for payin' some $20 damn dollars on some damn ribs when you KNOW I can go to the Rib Shack and get a full slab for $10.  Who is THAT b!tch foolin!?!?

How did a fast-food thread end up at an indie restaurants outside of Ohio? :whip:

That "sweet and sour" rib sauce is why I haven't eaten at sylvias in 8 years.  She's been watering her food down to cater to the "tour" groups.

And her staffs attitude is the worse.    if I want to eat crappy food from someone with a stank attitude, I'd (think, you know that bitch might poison me ) about eating my skank-in-laws food.

This is UrbanOhio, not Wikipedia.  We always stray off-topic particularly with MyTwoLostHisDamnSense and MrNYSeeHe'sCrazy.
