CLEVELAND -- A public health campaign is kicking off in northeast Ohio to improve the health and fitness of Cuyahoga County residents.

Starting on Jan. 1, the go!FIT program will offer three months of free gym membership and access to other fitness and nutrition programs to residents of Cuyahoga County.

 

If you want to participate, you have to register online to print a confirmation. The free gym membership will be at Curves and area YMCA locations.

YMCA of Greater Cleveland offers free swimming lessons June 4-6

The YMCA of Greater Cleveland will present a free Y-Splash program at all of its Cuyahoga and Lorain County branch locations June 4-6.

 

Times for the sessions are 5:30-7:30 p.m. June 4, 12:30-2:30 p.m. June 5 and 1-3 p.m. June 6.

 

The Splash program, geared specifically for children ages 5-12, promotes water safety and introduces children to swimming lessons.
