Heading: 258 degrees.  The North Point Tower* is on the right with its Aztec "stepped pyramid" profile.  The land in the foreground is Richmond Heights.  The watertower is in Willoughby Hills.  From that ledge, one can see the CEI smoke stacks at Avon Point that are 34 miles away.

* not the Crile Building at the Cleveland Clinic

Oglebay Norton had leased a "windowed" office space in North Point Tower from which they could see their lake freighters arriving in Cleveland.

Boreas, is that picture above at Little Mountain in Kirtland?

Little Mountain is the highest point in Lake County and is 24 miles from Cleveland.  There is a great view of Cleveland from the Lake County Historical Society building on Little Mountain.  I am going to have to take my camera on my next bicycle trip up Little Mountain and take a picture.

That was a well spent half hour. Glad I saw this thread.

I have a question about the Terminal Tower: is the entire buliding lit at night now, or is it just the top?

Just the top unfortunately.

Nice! How were the views from the preservation?

These are a few years old, but probably something like this:

unique. ive never seen the skyline from the east over the water.  It is definitely worth checking out.

I prefer the skyline views from the east or even from the north (can't get that as often, though!). Many of the 20-something-story buildings in the 9-12 district can't be seen from the west side, or even the south side. So the skyline collection/density looks more impressive from the east and north.

The north creates an awkward skyline in my opinion because the big 3 look extremely separated from the rest. My favorite views are from the East. They are just hard to come by. The view in the picture under my name is one of my favorites(and not because I took it) :D

Agreed.

Awesome find! Thanks for sharing. Cleveland looks far better in Aerials in my opinion.

I fixed numerous broken links in my photo set on page 1 (Reply #23).

Just a couple pictures from yesterday... Had an interview at a certain high rise downtown... Pray for me to get the job! I want to see this everyday.

Great shots.  One Cleveland Center, I assume?

That would be correct!  Very impressive views from that building, really shows how huge the lake is...

Nice.

based on the height from the shot of your pics.....KPMG, I presume....good luck!

Nice photos. But I hope you weren't taking them DURING the interview! :P

DEFINATELY not!! But when the coast was clear I couldn't help myself. ;)

Not mine but I can't get enough of this photo from Marine Week...

The Marine Week shot is nice!

that's a great shot! Since I am not in the cleve anymore, I enjoy checking in on this thread and seeing the unique beauty of Cleveland. My own shots leave me with a  surreal feel. In one sense I am a million miles away, in another,I am still there since we are paying a mortgage on a place from the window they were snapped. lol. I am glad I am now where I belong, but Cleveland is an extremely special place that I glad I passed through.
