42 points in a half????

Just think if we could merge the second half of the Bengals-Chargers game with the first half of the Bears-49ers game from 3 weeks ago (Bears dropped 41 on the Niners in the first half of their game). :-D

That was embarrassing for the Browns... the Bengals had their second string in, I barely knew any of the players who were playing for them

i'm not going to lie to you guys, but the Bengals fans that I encountered Saturday night were straight up Big T.

^what's that mean?

^what's that mean?

It means their "package" was a little larger than normal.

"Big T" = Trash, i.e. White Trash.

^Real classy Pope!  Just because Cincy is clearly the football king in Ohio right now, does not give you the right to rag on its people...every city has their trash, just as every city has their classy folks.  Please don't rain on our parade...I don't see many Cincy forumers trashing Cleveland when the Cavs do well.

Pope's from Detroit  :-D

And THAT is the irony, folks.

Henry catches break in DUI case

BY BARRETT J. BRUNSMAN | ENQUIRER STAFF WRITER

November 27, 2006

BATAVIA – A day after catching two touchdown passes in the Bengals 30-0 shutout of the Browns, Cincinnati wide receiver Chris Henry got a Clermont County court to toss out the results of a Breathalyzer test in the drunken-driving case against him.  Henry was in court for the ruling, but it was too soon for him to engage in a celebration dance.  He’ll still be tried on a charge of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol – and he could be suspended for at least two games by the National Football League if found guilty.

How many other tests was unreadable. This could open a can of worms.

Good win - let's keep rolling.  Playoffs still a long shot with having to go to Indianapolis and Denver, but Marvin seems to have them focused.

We beat Denver and we'll own the tiebreaker between both Denver and KC...if we win everything but Indy, we'll have to make the playoffs...

I like our chances against Denver too...I am not a big proponent of changing QB's 3/4 through the season.  The youngin' is going to struggle under the pressure!

Things are definitely looking up!

Finally some relief  :-D

Four regulars back for Raiders

CINCINNATI - Center Eric Ghiaciuc has been listed as questionable with a sprained knee, but it doesn’t look to be serious enough to prevent him from trying to reach his goal of playing in the Bengals’ next game that is 10 days away against the Raiders.  Head coach Marvin Lewis said Friday that three starters will return to the lineup for that game in right guard Bobbie Williams (appendix), defensive tackle John Thornton (knee) and cornerback Deltha O’Neal (shoulder), as well as wide receiver Kelley Washington (hamstring). Center Rich Braham and left tackle Levi Jones, with injured knees, are still questionable.

NFL sinks Jungle Juice

CINCINNATI - It is official. Jungle Juice wine bottled by Owen County's Elk Creek Vineyards in a distinctive orange-and-black striped bottle has joined the roster of no-longer-made Who-Dey collector's items.  The winery in Owenton, Ky., will not be bottling any more Jungle Juice, said Curtis Sigretto, who would not say exactly why production was halted.

"I can't talk about it," said Sigretto, who also is owner of Halloween Express, which has 135 stores, including franchises, in 36 states. "What I can say is we're not going to be making it."  The demise of the wine was swift and sure - thanks to the trademark enforcement arm of the National Football League.

dammit

DAMMIT STOP GETTING ARRESTED!!!!!

If I were Mike Brown, I would require a mandatory three-day Diversions program for every member of the team.

Of course, I'm sure the players union would not allow that.

I'm amazed this team is even able to win because it seems that a large portion of its roster makes very questionable lifestyle choices.

WTF What wrong with these players. It may get to the point where all alcohol is banned for the team during the season.

We did fine without him.

The Wild Card race is starting to thin out...goodbye NY Jets, Broncos/Chiefs (one of the two is done..possibly both).  Looks like its coming down to the Bengals and the Jaguars.

WHO DEY!!!!!!!

We've got a lot to do before we can start buying our post-season tickets, though...Denver's only one game back, and they've still got a game against us...KC's a game back, but they've still got a game against Jacksonville...and the Jets have the easiest schedule of all four of us.  But man, it's very, very nice to be in complete control of our own destiny again!

yea it is and the way indy is playin, we should be 9-5 by this time next week.  of all the teams, pitt scares me as they have been playin well as of late but at the same time they have bene up and down all year.  i guess we will see.  regardless, palmer cant afford 3 int's anymore.

This is all true, but Denver and KC still have to play one another guaranteeing one of them a loss....KC plays the VERY hot Chargers next week.....The Jets are definately a cinderella team and will revert to their 3 win stature of last year....ohh and not to mention the Bengals hold all of the tie-breaking situations.

regardless, palmer cant afford 3 int's anymore.

The Raider's D was the third best in the nation.  I don't think he will have 3 in the Indy game.

Season ticket holders already had to pay their money for playoff tickets.  If we don't have home playoff games, the money goes to next year's season tickets.

Career may be over for Pollack

Bengal needs neck surgery

BY MARK CURNUTTE | [email protected]

December 15, 2006

CINCINNATI - Injured Bengals linebacker David Pollack faces surgery within the next few weeks to repair damage in his fractured neck, which probably will end his football career.  Pollack, who suffered a fracture of the C-6 vertebra in his neck Sept. 17 against Cleveland, visited spine specialist Dr. Anthony Guanciale on Thursday after having an MRI Wednesday and having his protective halo removed.  The diagnosis is surgery, necessary to fuse two vertebrae.

In November, Pollack was asked if his football career would end if he required surgery. "Yeah, absolutely," he said at the time.  Attempts to contact Pollack for comment were unsuccessful Thursday.

They are all announced like this.  It doesn't seem to prevent people from getting caught in them.

well in my neck of the woods, any time there is press coverage (video/print) they always talk about keeping the locations secret.

They've been talking about this one all day on the radio.

remind me to move to the nati, where a drunk driver who listens to the radio is rewarded!

^  Why?  Do you do that often?
