May 10, 200817 yr More carries from Perry? With 5th-year RB healthy, deal for Alexander unlikely BY MARK CURNUTTE | [email protected] The reason the Bengals didn't take a running back in last month's NFL Draft wasn't because they wanted to sign Shaun Alexander, who had been released by Seattle. The reason is that running back Chris Perry, their oft-injured 2004 first-round pick, appears to be healthy and ready to play this year. Perry, 26, who has played just one full season in four years in the NFL, has two years remaining on his rookie contract. May 19, 200817 yr Ahh the Bengals cut Odell Thurman today. I wonder if he didn't pass his physical. After 2 year of waiting and cut him right off the bat is shocking. The Bengals must be cutting ties with anyone now that gives them a hint that something is wrong.
May 20, 200817 yr I can't say that I blame the Bengals too much for cutting him. Now if they could just do something about Chad.
May 29, 200817 yr Chad owes $13K in taxes BY JESSICA BROWN | [email protected] Disgruntled Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson, who wants out of Cincinnati, owes more than $13,000 in taxes on his Walnut Hills home. According to tax records at the Hamilton County Auditor’s Office, Johnson owes a total of $13,063.35. Of that, $12,780.30 is delinquent. The latest taxes were due in February. May 29, 200817 yr That's a riot!!! No it's not! It's pathetic and triffling! I bet he'll blame the accountant or his management. It will be anyones fault but his.
May 29, 200817 yr Yea, I agree with you, but it is still pretty funny! The attention that this guy tries so hard to get is backfiring into nothing but negative press on his own actions. He has become a waste! And that is coming from one of his biggest fans!
June 3, 200817 yr Chad: I'm coming back Johnson will return to Bengals, he says in ESPN the Magazine http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080603/SPT02/306030088
June 3, 200817 yr He can't make up his mind. Even if he does come back I hope Marvin makes him sit out.
June 3, 200817 yr Can't make a guy sit out honoring his contract. It would be a very expensive move if they did that.
June 3, 200817 yr Chad is on BiPolar drama queen! Yep! lol ... Too bad for Cleveland! MUA AAAH AAAH Not at all. You keep that hot ghetto mess!

June 25, 200816 yr This is an interesting article from Sports Odds ... NFL Betting: Cincinnati Bengals AFC North Preview Written by Matt Foust Tuesday, 24 June 2008 In 2007 the Cincinnati Bengals had more trouble than a marathoner at the World's Strongest Man competition. Although they won three of their last four games, they could not overcome a 1-4 start. On top of the poor play were seemingly constant player legal troubles and in-house bickering. The off-season looked like more of the same as wide receiver Chad Johnson and Head Coach Marvin Lewis continued to publically display their differences. Consequently, NFL Betting odds at BodogLife.com have the Bengals listed at 7/2 odds to win the AFC North crown. June 25, 200816 yr I love "Houshmandzadeh's" name! It sounds like something one would say after you sneeze. he he he
July 23, 200816 yr is playing celebrity golf in Lake Tahoe. I had the pleasure of watching the final round on Sunday, 7/13. I couldn't believe who he was paired with. I was tempted to take a club and break a kneecap. Instead, I took a few pics. The American Century Championship was loaded with various celebs. Carson was by far the biggest draw. There weren't any OSU or Cleveland players. Organizers were only interested in players who attract fans greater than a 2 mile radius from where they play. The three QBs all hit the green. A certain QB walked on Carson's line, bastard. Probably a 30 ft putt, can he get it. OSU's offensive doesn't move the ball this far or get it in the hole. Birdie! This guy is terribly out of shape. Baggy clothes to hide the beer gut. A long hard season in his future. The man's man. Jokes and golf, I smell a new sitcom. This guy just got traded to the Redskins and he can dance like no other. "The Office" actor won't be back on the show. OSU Alum paid him a nice sum to join the offensive line. Plus the pleasure of getting smack in the ass by OSU players on a regular basis was too good to pass up. Truly has the worst swing in golf. I see OSU's golf team in his future.
July 23, 200816 yr Palmer gives so much damn money to local organizations it's ridiculous. I have a respect for people like that. So many people think that once they make it big, they'd use the money for good, that's usually not the case -but it is with him.
August 6, 200816 yr Bengals QB expects to win AFC North By John Harris TRIBUNE-REVIEW Wednesday, August 6, 2008 GEORGETOWN, Ky. -- Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer is at it again. Palmer is picking his Bengals to win the AFC North because he believes the lessons learned from previous seasons are finally sinking in. And he thinks a demanding schedule will play a big role in who survives the four-team race that has resulted no repeat division champions since its inception in 2002. Palmer said the combination of AFC North teams beating up on each other, while also playing teams from the NFC East (New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins) could take a toll over a 16-game schedule. August 8, 200816 yr Palmer is always so optimistic and thats what i love about him. Being around him alone would motivate the entire team.
August 19, 200816 yr I'm really confused! He still suspended for 4 more games right? This has Mike Brown written all over it.
August 19, 200816 yr i have my fantasy draft coming up...what is the inside word on Ocho Cinco's shoulder?
August 19, 200816 yr i have my fantasy draft coming up...what is the inside word on Ocho Cinco's shoulder? Should be ready for Baltimore, but is sitting out for the next pre-season game.
August 19, 200816 yr Henry is a great WR and I think they need him right now with all the receiver injuries. IF he stays out of trouble then it would be a pretty good deal for the bengals IMO. If he doesn't then it will spell bad news for them since they passed that new rule where teams can be held accountable for players actions. I'll be on edge but hopefully he learned his lesson. I also read they may have to shop for another WR even after signing Henry.
August 20, 200816 yr Unless some of these receivers can play defense.. I don't think they are focusing on their main issue..
August 20, 200816 yr For all the bad pr that resigning Henry creates I'd say the news conference was about as intelligent as possible. Henry said the right things about knowing this is his last chance, Lewis said the right things about having given his input (a no) but it being Brown's decision and that they will work to use Henry as best they can (this was honest, prevented Lewis from sounding like he was going back on previous statements, and respectful to the organization) and the players said the right things (Rudi mentoring and TJ saying its comes down to Henry taking care of himself)
September 1, 200816 yr The Bengals cut Rudi Johnson, Willie Anderson, Deltha O'Neal, and Jeff Rowe. http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=6997
September 1, 200816 yr They also cut Michael Myers and placed Dan Santucci on season-ending injured reserve. A quick look at their roster http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=7002
September 8, 200816 yr U G L Y. This could be a long year. I missed the game and DVR'd it. I couldn't even get through that.
September 8, 200816 yr Author That game was an embarrassment. The only good thing about yesterday's game was my introduction to Sam Adams Cherry Wheat beer at BW3's. Damn that was a delicious brew!
September 8, 200816 yr Carson Palmer seems to be regressing... even SI's Peter King said that Palmer seems "Jay Cutler-esque"
September 9, 200816 yr You know well see how Tom Brady performs the next couple of years. If he tanks then it really is because they are favoring their injury. Brady is out for the year. Same injury as Palmer had in 2005.
September 10, 200816 yr Bengals Ticket Prices Cut Kentucky Post You don't have to be a football fan to know this can't be good news for the Cincinnati Bengals. Demand for tickets is so low that a prominent ticket broker is offering tickets at less than face value. And that's for the home opener, usually a better selling game. This marks the first time Riverfront Choice Tickets, also known as 333-SEAT, has sold home opener tickets for less than face value since it opened for business in 1982. Demand since Sunday's opening loss to Baltimore has fallen to the point 333-SEAT is hoping to entice fans with the lower ticket prices. September 10, 200816 yr ^^ Really????? lol ... http://cgi.ebay.com/3-Cincinnati-Bengals-Titans-Tickets-9-14-Sec-228_W0QQitemZ380062417384QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item380062417384&_trkparms=72%3A1163%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 That is a great marketing ploy by a ticket broker though. Gotta give him props for that.
September 11, 200816 yr Forbes: Bengals valued at $941M Business Courier of Cincinnati http://cincinnati.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/stories/2008/09/08/daily42.html
