June 5, 200619 yr Congrats to Chris Henry again for making it on the news! When is this piece of sh*t going to get kicked off of the team?
June 5, 200619 yr No doubt. We don't need this kinda trouble maker in the club house. Amazing people can through away millions of dollars, because they can't straighten up. I mean everything was handed to him on a silver plate.
June 15, 200618 yr Marty kept talking on the radio yesterday about how the Bengals were at the stadium before the game, taking batting practice, hanging out, etc...that with Castellini, and now that they're not playing in the same space, they're trying to work together to build a rapport and all that...thought that sounded like a great idea... (Hey, maybe the Reds can visit Henry in jail!)
June 16, 200618 yr I'm so sick of hearing about Henry ... I've heard as much about Henry as I have about Bonds hitting #715.
June 23, 200618 yr Already a sellout? No single-game seats expected as fans gobble up season tickets More at www.bengals.com
June 23, 200618 yr Hobson has a nice article about season ticket sales, new luxury boxes, added sponsors, and increase sales at the pro shop on Bengals.com: http://www.bengals.com/news/news.asp?story_id=5310
July 6, 200618 yr As a season ticket holder I got a notice about ordering ticket packs. Looks like at least some season ticket holders will be able to purchase packs prior to going on sale to the public with (my guess) all season ticket holders snapping up what's available. The notice says that there are no guarantees that they will be able to accept all requests. Personally I think it is a good problem to have and many other cities have season ticket wait lists. I'm just looking forward to the season!
July 13, 200618 yr Author OK, maybe it is the song or the slight twang in his voice but this song is terrible, IMO. I am sure Steelers fans are laughing their ass off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=38cVtuoPlTM Enjoy
July 13, 200618 yr What a great pick up for the Bengals.....I love Marvin! Bengals add Brooks in supplemental draft July 13, 2006 www.Bengals.com The Bengals today selected Virginia linebacker Ahmad Brooks in the NFL Supplemental Draft. They used the 22nd pick in the third round to select Brooks, meaning they will lose a corresponding third round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. Brooks played in just seven games last season for the Cavaliers due to a knee injury. He held a workout for pro scouts on June 22 that was conducted by Bengals linebackers coach Ricky Hunley. NFL.com's Gil Brandt says Brooks might project as a Julius Peppers-type defensive end in the pros.
July 13, 200618 yr Thurman to be suspended BY MARK CURNUTTE | ENQUIRER STAFF WRITER Bengals linebacker Odell Thurman will be suspended for the first four games of the NFL season for violation of the league’s substance abuse policy, a source close to the situation told the Enquirer this afternoon. The source said it was not necessarily a positive drug test that led to Thurman’s suspension. A missed test also counts the same as a positive test. Thurman, who turned 23 on July 9, was one of the NFL’s top defensive rookies in 2005. He had a team-high 148 tackles and tied for the team lead with four forced fumbles. He returned one of his five interceptions for a touchdown. He started 15 games at middle linebacker and did not start the 16th for violation of a team rule. July 13, 200618 yr The worst song I've ever heard was a Steelers song on their local radio circa 1997, on my way to Three Rivers to see the Bengals-Steelers game. I think they have plenty to be embarrassed about too.
July 14, 200618 yr damnit.....the bengals keep taking one step forward, and two steps back. -Win AFC North......lose to steelers in 1st round, and lose carson. -Have a good offseason for the defense......lose a tremendous LB. I just want a consistant winner in Cincy!
July 14, 200618 yr So why do we have all these criminals playing for the Bengals. While Chris Henry hasn't been convicted on all the troubles he has had, the image he gives the team is very negative. How many players have been in trouble in the last year? About 4-5?
July 14, 200618 yr ^Well I guess someone has to pick up slack after the Bearcats of old (in terms of criminals). :|
July 14, 200618 yr I read that to be eligible for a four game suspension like this, Odell must have already been in the NFL substance abuse program... To me, that's the most frustrating thing... if he was already in trouble, and yet he still couldn't stay clean. I feel really bad for carson. Here he is busting his ass to rehab his knee so he can get out on the field... and then his teammates are letting him down like this. And to think how tough our first four games are, and now we go in with a starting linebacker corps of pollack (great potential, but still a work in progress), Simmons (shows flashes of great play, but disappears way too much) and landon johnson (great football instincts, but way undersized...) I'm worried...
July 14, 200618 yr It's either that or build a Walmart @ the Banks. I dont understand....completely lost

He missed mini-camp--now I think we know why.
July 16, 200618 yr seiously, will you guys stop drafting criminals? Tell Detroit to stop, first. And I don't mean the Lions either... "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
July 17, 200618 yr seiously, will you guys stop drafting criminals? Tell Detroit to stop, first. And I don't mean the Lions either... The Red Wings?
July 17, 200618 yr Sure. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
July 26, 200618 yr Okay, Odell's four-game suspension will happen. BOO! But there was some good Bengals news--they signed Levi to 6 years, $40M deal which means he'll probably play the rest of his career here: http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060726/SPT02/607260331/-1/rss
July 27, 200618 yr ^Marvin also said that Carson is for sure...the starter for the season opener, and will probably be ready for the pre-season games. BTW, it is also announced that all 10 (8 regular season, 2 pre-season) home games are SOLD-OUT!!! Who-Dey!!!!

July 27, 200618 yr What's a 400IH'er? I don't know near enough about football...I understood "WR" though!
July 27, 200618 yr What's a 400IH'er? I don't know near enough about football...I understood "WR" though! Nothing to do with football. Bennie would run track for LSU during the spring. His specialty was the 400 m hurdles.
July 27, 200618 yr Who-Dey shuttle to ferry Bengals fans BB Riverboats and Newport on the Levee announced on Wednesday a special program to shuttle Bengals fans across the river on home game days this summer and fall. The Who-Dey Water Shuttle will begin operating two hours before every game, including pre-season games, leaving from the shuttle dock at Newport Festival Park, below the Newport on the Levee entertainment complex. The shuttle, which costs $5 per round trip, will run until 30 minutes after each game ends, according to a news release. For more information, visit www.newportonthelevee.com.
July 27, 200618 yr That's very cool. I'm sure I won't be going to any games next year, but I want to ride the shuttle anyway!
July 28, 200618 yr What's a 400IH'er? I don't know near enough about football...I understood "WR" though! 400IH = 400 Intermedate Hurdles they are 6 inches lower then the 110 hurdles, so the 400ih are 36" high and the 110 are 42" He is not just a guy who ran track for LSU, but an Olympian. their is a big difference their. this is his bio from USATF BENNIE BRAZELL Events: 400 meter Hurdles Height: 6-1 Weight: 165 PRs: 47.67 (2005) Born: June 2,1982 in Houston, Texas Current Residence: Baton Rouge, Louisiana High School: Westbury HS ‘01 College: Louisiana State University '05 Coach: Dennis Shaver Career Highlights: 2004 Olympic Games finalist; 3rd at 2004 U.S. Olympic Trials; Runner-up at 2004 & 2005 NCAA Championships; 10-time NCAA All-American http://www.usatf.com/athletes/bios/Brazell_Bennie.asp
August 8, 200618 yr Getting tough on boorish fans Call 381-JERK: Team can zoom in, cancel tickets BY BARRETT J. BRUNSMAN / ENQUIRER STAFF WRITER If you act like a jerk at Paul Brown Stadium this Sunday, somebody with better manners could end up in your seat for the rest of the Bengals' home games. All it would take is a phone call. The football team has set up a telephone hot line - 513-381-JERK (5375) - that fans with cell phones will be able to call to report obnoxious behavior in the stands. Those who use excessive foul language will be warned. If they persist, they risk being ejected from the game and having their season tickets and seat licenses revoked. Those who behave worse might also be arrested and jailed. Full story: http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060808/NEWS01/608080325
August 8, 200618 yr Maybe they should be worried more about the players and less about the fans Steinbach the fifth Bengal to be arrested this year NEWPORT, Ky. -- Bengals guard Eric Steinbach was arrested and charged with boating under the influence on the Ohio River, becoming the fifth Cincinnati player in three months accused of breaking the law. A Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources officer stopped Steinbach because he was violating an idle-only zone Saturday night, agency spokesman Mark Marraccini said. Steinbach failed a series of field sobriety tests, Marraccini said. The player was released from the Campbell County jail in Newport after posting bond and was to appear in court Tuesday, jail and court records show. August 8, 200618 yr We need to start a gang called: Da' CBC'z (Cincinnati Bengals Click) Our gang colors will be orange and black and you can buy the orange du' rag at the Cincinnati Bengals Shop at Paul Brown Stadium.
August 14, 200618 yr Anyone see the kick-ass bumper segment NCB did on Skyline Chili? They showed the concession people pouring chili over a set of four cheese coneys (with onions!), then making a three-way, and John Madden came in talking about how it's fantastic food if you haven't had it...said he does a cheese bratwurst one day, a three-way the next, a brat the next, etc...wonderful! Also, a great daytime skyline shot from Cincinnati Bible College, then one from Mt. Adams. City looked beautiful... Then we left our friends' place up Villa Hills way during the 2nd quarter and drove past Paul Brown - how fantastic, seeing it packed to the gills...what a beautiful thing is football season!
