January 14, 201015 yr Time Warner has pissed me off SO BAD (sorry, MTS), and I am strongly considering a switch to WOW. Overall, they get high ratings from Consumer Reports. Anybody here have experience with them? I personally have not used them (I ditched Time Warner for AT&T DSL + DirecTV), but a couple of my coworkers have and love it.
January 14, 201015 yr Wow is 100X better! You're in the same neighborhood so I'd imagine you would have a similar experience. The internet is much faster. The package I had for 70 something a month (cable and internet) only costs me 50 something a month with Wow and it included more channels! Make the switch! You'll thank me later. I told TWC my service didn't work half the time I had the service (over a month) and even though I paid up front, they only refunded me like 2 days! They acted like I was trying to get over on them and get out of paying my bill. The problem was the crappy, old infrastructure they had outside that sent a very weak signal to the house.

January 14, 201015 yr When I spoke with the saleswoman over the phone, she kept explaining how they're so much cheaper and have better packages; I kept saying "Wow!" she was like "exactly right".
January 14, 201015 yr I have WOW. Overall they are pretty good, actually we run everything through them (Phone, Internet, and Cable). I have had problems, specifically with the HD input, but that was due to the way the cable was split. So it was an easy fix and they were out pretty quick.
January 14, 201015 yr All y'alls with WOW and TWC--especially David--could you perform a speed test and post your numbers? It'll only take a second. Just go here: http://www.bandwidthplace.com/. Currently, my $47 TWC Roadrunner service gives me about 3.5Mbps. WOW offers tiered speed and pricing--the two I'm looking at are the 2Mbps for $41 and the 8Mbps for $58; I'm curious about the actual speeds.
January 15, 201015 yr The bandwidthplace.com link doesn't work for me; I get "cannot display the web page."
January 15, 201015 yr I would abolutely love to have WOW, or AT&T... but they both refuse to do business in Shaker Square.
January 15, 201015 yr Okay, folks try this one: http://www.speedtest.net/ (Never mind all the crap on the margins; just click the blue "Begin Test" button above the map in the middle).
