I think when he was jumping into the pound, the two fat guys shopuld have turned around and greeted him with a good "mooning".  I can not stand when players enter the crowd.  It just asks for trouble and ocho cinco did get what he deserved.

Lessons of NFL Week 2. The Browns can score! And: We don't know much, but we know Cincy, San Diego, Denver and the whole NFC don't look like much.

King Kaufman's Sports Daily from www.Salon.com

Sept. 17, 2007 | That was a preposterous game they played in Cleveland Sunday, the Browns beating the Cincinnati Bengals 51-45. Football. They were playing football. Not basketball. That 51 by the Browns has to be one of the all-time improbable scores, even though it was hung on the Bengals, who have not exactly been voted least likely to give up 51 any time lately. Remember, the Browns are the team that benched their quarterback in the first quarter of the first game last week, then traded him.

Then covered their ears and went "La la la!" whenever you said his name.

That's funny.

and Jamal looked like he was young again.

Jamal Lewis just turned 28 less then a month ago.. Rudi Johnson turns 28 in October.. Jamal is healthy again that's the difference.

What a wacky game...oh and Ocho Cinco got totally drenched with beer from that one dude in the dawg pound.  I'm guessing he was escorted out, but who knows?

As for that fan, no, he was likely given a medal, that type of hot dogging crap doesn't play well in Cleveland, maybe in Cincinnati, not here.

I was listening to the Browns pregame show on the radio and they were interviewing a group of Browns Backers (full British accents and all) that had flown over from England just for the game. They sure picked one hell of a game to attend.

I didn't get to see the game - family function.

Has anyone seen any photos or videos of this on the net?

I would love to see the looks on everyone around.

And I'm not a big fan of Rudi either.

So you're telling me they would do that to their own players as well...just because they don't go for that "hot dogging crap?"

Anyone notice the middle fingers perfectly visible on CBS when he jumped in?

Again, Randy misses the point.  To do that in someone else's house is hot dogging.  Of course they wouldn't do that to their own players.  Typical Cincinnati Westsider!!!!!

No, they wouldn't have done it to one of our players.  I wouldn't take the "maybe in Cincinnati" quote too seriously.  It's just that in Cleveland we don't typically like big-mouth players.  (Notice the difficulty that Winslow and Edwards had in their first few years with the team.  It took each a few years to learn to just put up AND shut up.)

Now, have we ever had a Chad Johnson-type Pro Bowler AND "showman"?  No, not on the Browns, so it's hard to say whether he would be embraced by this town.  But if he was a bona fide, consistent pro bowler, I'm sure he would be.

Great game for both O's.         D's    ????????

I love when these two teams play!    The losses don't get me a frustrated as loosing to say P-burgh.   C-land needed this W bad and they do deserve it.    It is only a matter of time before they start having a breakout season with this team.  Might be this year or next, but it is not too far out.

Congrats,  but we will see ya'll in the Nati later this year!

I just don't know why anyone would waste a good beer!

and a $6.75 stadium beer to boot!

It was probably a Bud or Bud Light. C'mon, its not like it was a Christmas Ale or something like that.

The league my do something. Because of that NBA brawl a couple of years ago. You just can't go into the stands.

knowing his antics, he probably intended it as good fun and wasn't trying to mock the crowd.  Unfortunately, I think the fans take the games more seriously than the players!  He could have really gotten hurt.

Look at last year when Edwards was being a drama queen, he was almost traded this off season.

Thats funny!!

It reminds me of all the times I've seen Cleveland on the Highlight videos with fans throwing things on the field. Cleveland fans don't like it when their own players talk more smack than what they do.

Again, Randy, you do not think before you speak!  This quote was intended for big mouth players, not you.  Obviously, that is relavant to the discussion!  I guess you must think it applies to you.... I guess you would know best!

and besides, who the hell are you to tell me to shut the hell up?

I'm a Browns fan too! And I live in Cincinnati! I am also a Bengals fan!! When it comes to Bengals vs Browns I'm pulling for the Bengals!!

What is your point?!

Bengals fans are really ones to talk about class..

Your the first one to mention anything about class!!

we should have a forum rule to discuss all battle of ohio games on the winner's board.

by the way, why is there a wind turbine at the brown's stadium?

That image really doesn't help your cause of moronic fans.  If anything, you just showed the "classlessness" of the Steelers.  Or maybe that was the point?

A true Browns fan wouldn't have posted a picture of another Browns fan handing a beer to his buddy sitting behind him as if he was going to throw the bottle!!!!

My comment about being a Browns fan was directed to ks who I thought was implying that being from Cincinnati made me a Bengals fan.

What, a (looking like) facemask and pouring $6.50 beer over the opponent?

I'm really starting to think the Browns fans are getting desperate (which is a shame, given their history pre-Super Bowl).

Or a stiff arm?  Because grabbing the face mask will help push him away somehow??

Or because it looks like he's facemasking because his hands are...well...seemingly at his face.  Thus, (looking like).

From my understanding you are not allowed to grab the facemask when using a stiff arm...you have to use an open hand (could be wrong though).

As for all these pictures...I have to admit that I haven't laughed this hard in some time.

Boy, this thread sure turned ugly over the last two pages -- 15 yard penalties all around for unsportsmanlike conduct. Now back on topic:

The Browns are 3.5-point underdogs for Sunday against the Raiders. Anyone surprised? Actually, I'm pleased the oddsmakers are considering this pretty much an even game (assuming they're still giving the standard 3 points for the homefield advantage). I wouldn't be surprised if the oddsmakers don't know how to call this game, given the Browns' uneven performances early in the season and that the Raiders appear to be improved (though still 0-2).

yeah guys even in the highly unlikely event it was a real facemask penalty instead of a stiffarm good luck getting that call on an rb.

how bout bengal dude messing with the dawg pound? i loved that. it was hilarious. he had a good sense of humor about it. goes to show how the 'ol pound sure aint what it used to be too -- maybe they should just rename it the pussycat box?

^ Perhaps the dawg pound should be sent to Europe to learn from the other kind of football fans. Or maybe not. The Cleveland PD probably would implode with that kind of rioting.

oh no not hooliganism -- thats going way too far, but you know what i mean. an opposing player would never have done those kind of shenanigans back in the old days of the dawg pound.

Well it was clear that he worked out some sort of agreement with those particular fans...and he still got soaked with beer, hit with popcorn and had a slew of profanities shouted at him.

If he had gone into an area, where he didn't have a deal worked out, it would have been much worse.  It was amusing to watch his teammate (forget who it was) that held him back from jumping into the Dawg Pound after his first TD.  I still think the Dawg Pound is as vicious as ever...I would say the same for the Black Hole (with the edge going to the Dawg Pound).

i saw that. thats what i'm talkin about -- he had some sort of deal worked out with the fans?  in the old days? ha. no chance.

^ I say... the look on this dude's face is priceless!

The Raiders are one of the best 0-2 teams at this point.. they played tough verse a good Lions offense and "won" a game verse Denver, but ol' Mike knew how to play it.

And regardless of Cincinnati's offense, they are going NOWHERE with that horrid defense.
