Pats and Indy win again, both against good teams...because they are winners...

Bah,  the Browns are currently not winners... I am not a naysayer who will say they will never be winners, but this current formula is not a winning team.

Is Jamal Lewis's beef with Winslow? Anybody know the origins of his comments regarding the packing it in on Thursday night?

my guess is that it was meant for the defense...but i could be wrong.  it seems that in the last 2 weeks once the Browns went up by a couple scores, the D lost a bit of their edge allowing for the opponent to come back...

The defense is appauling.  I lvoe the Browns as much as the next fan, but OUR secondary is being shredded to pieces.

Are some of the Cleveland Browns quitters?

Posted by bwright November 10, 2008 14:03PM

Kick returner Josh Cribbs said some of his temmates quit last Thursday against the Denver Broncos.

Browns running back Jamal Lewis would not name names, but he is convinced that several of his teammates quit last Thursday against the Denver Broncos.

^What season was this game played?

Last year, 2007.  You could hardly see during the first half.

^ this was last year.  Not sure if that's the question you're asking.

It's supposed to be snowy all day in Buffalo.  It'd be great to see another game like this.

I remember it now. That was here. My son and ex-mother-in=law were at that game.

Thanks.

I was there, best Browns game I've ever been to.

Oh no, 2 minutes left....

Cleveland leads statistically in almost every column, total yards, turnovers and penalties.  I would assume that any team with 4 turnovers would lose, but the Browns missed too many scoring opportunities.  Oh well, I will watch hope for next week

Oh wait, they scored.... maybe the defense will hold, cross my fingers.

Look at this!  A nice win for the Browns on the road in a pretty tough place to play.  Yes, the game was hard to watch as the Browns didn't take advantage of the numerous opportunities that the Bills handed them.  Hopefully they can fix some of their mistakes and come out looking better next week.  Quinn looked better and looks to me to be the starter from here on out.

Finally a win, but jeez, that defense really tried to give it away again.  The tackling was just atrocious again.

Alright, i've been pulled from the abyss! 4 and 6 sounds miles away from 3 and 7, I'm ready to call for the super bowl!  Ok, maybe not, but good monday night game anyways.

I'm not a "woulda" , "shoulda" or "coulda" type of dude, but the Browns should be 6-4 at this point.  However, a W is a W and I'll take it!

I know, WTF?

Glad for the win, but I feel sorry for Buffalo. I would like to see the Browns and Bills continue to play every year.

Nice win my ass!  The Browns have GOT to be the most frustrating team in football to watch right now.  After the 1st quarter, the defensive and special teams tackling was atrocious.  In Q1, they were swarming the ball carrier, not letting them bounce around and fight for extra yards.  Then, all of the sudden, they just lost their mojo and the Bills' two RBs were having a field day!  And special teams?  Come on!

And then there was the playcalling and clock management in the final two minutes+... again!  What were they thinking with 2:30 left on the clock and two timeouts, passing the ball SIX straight times?!  They should've been running the ball once they got into position... keeping the ball in the middle of the field and eating up the clock, so that when they kicked that field goal, they leave the Bills with no more than 30 seconds.  WTF???  oh, what pain!

nice to get a win, yes, but I have so little confidence in this team on every level.

We need 4-5 new people on defense.  This is what happens when every single linebacker drafted doesn't work out.  Bell and Hall could be more of that, or the beginning of something better.

I think they wanted to get a better field goal attempt than a 56 yarder.  The bills had been stuffing the run all night (minus the harrison dash)..and they were in the two minute drill.  By the time they got to the 40 yard line of buffalos the clock was at the two minute warning.  I think one run would have been good, but I dont think you can rely on Dawson to make a 55 yarder, im sure glad he did though.

NBC reports that the Browns are indeed after Bill Cowher and are offering / have offered him $9 million.

Bah!

Did anyone notice that Braylon looked completely broken on the sidelines?  It was like he lost all confidence in himself.  It'll be a crime if they get ride of him, he's too talented for a season like this.  I hope someone is competent enough to see that in the incompetence of the front office.

There's always next year...  :-D

The front office is not the one dropping balls and stalling drives.  I think he has talent, but I also believe he is a LARGE reason they (the whole team) are where they are at today.  Braylon needs to find a way to get back on point, as does some other key players on this team.  If not, I am afraid the talented Mr. Edwards may find himself on the back end of a trade.

Can this season be any more challenging!  ugh!

If he wins everygame, I'll just die.  However, looks as though I'll live a long life.

I knew the "expectation" of 10/11 wins would not be reached.

Lets just hope he plays well enough to boost his trade value back up.. we fire our whole organization, get Cowher and then Quinn leads us to the Super Bowl next year.

You know...Your sports analyst never cease to amaze me.

Hahaha.. clearly you know I'm not serious.

Although, if Cowher was to come here, bye bye Phil.

Glad to see Brady has been declared the starting quarterback going into training camp.  I wonder what this says about the team's opinion of Anderson.  Think he's definitely gone next year?

Cleveland Browns Brady Quinn likely to have surgery

by Tony Grossi

Brady Quinn said he does not regret playing Sunday against Houston knowing that there was a chance the injuries to his right index finger would worsen.

ugh. why do i torture myself watching this team?  :whip: my gawd the o is butt ugly awful.

it's too bad because the d was really fired up and they should have won this game today.  :|

I think I'm going to find something else to do on Sundays than watch the garbage put forth by the Browns.

I heard Michael Reghi on the radio say that this lost makes the Savage/Crennel regime one loss worse than that of Botch Davis.  Both are tied at thirty-something wins.

Thank god I was travelling today and only had to listen to this terrible loss.  One loss closer to the end of the Crennel head coaching era.  Bring in Cowher already and lets get started on next year.

Despite the popular opinion of Anderson it was sad to see him go down like that.  I realize his Cleveland career is over, but I hoped he would raise his profile for another team.  Watching him fall after trying to get back up was sad for sure, he is a fighter, can't take that from him.

Now if only Crennel would show ANY emotion!

Browns QB Anderson sprains left MCL, likely will be done for season

CLEVELAND -- It appears the Browns have lost their second quarterback in two weeks.

Just several days after losing Brady Quinn to a broken finger, Cleveland also lost Derek Anderson to a left MCL injury in the waning moments of Sunday's 10-6 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts. The recovery time for MCL injuries is usually 3-4 weeks, which likely means Anderson is out for the remainder of the 2008 season.

^ Bye bye any decent trade value..

The mister was laughing yesterday because I started scrubbing our bathroom toilets during the Browns' game.....

In an ugly scene Sunday, some Browns fans cheered when Anderson was injured.

"They were cheering the fact that I was hurt," Anderson said, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "They don't like me. That's well known."

That sucks.  Things like this almost make me wish that I followed another team.  I'm so tired of Browns fans demanding QBs other than who's actually in the game, not to mention cheering injuries.  No class at all.  It's not DA's fault that the season fell apart anyway.  He kept hitting Edwards and Winslow right in the hands and they dropped the ball repeatedly.  What else can the poor guy do?

we are some bitter fans we went from "the darlings of the league" to "snake bit".

:wtf:

I love my Brownies...winners or loser!

Note to Browns management:  Let the team wear the white pants more often!  ;)

I've decided to wear other Cleveland team wear to the NYC Browns backers bar for the rest of the season, because this pathetic excuse for a football team clearly does not deserve any fan recognition.

Sunday's game was the first professional football game I have ever been to. For a minute there, I thought we were going to win. Although we lost, it was still an exciting game.

You fair weather fan sissies!  :whip:

Brown's Haiku:

I am a Browns fan.

It is getting harder to watch them.

Injuries,Fumbles,Dropped Balls,Missed Blocks

Play Calling, Poor Clock Management,Media Relations

I will stay a Browns fan.

This too shall pass.
