December 20, 201014 yr Just like a Bengals fan. Can't win straigh up so you jump on the Steelers' bandwagon. I still stand by my statement that the Browns Backers is the largest fan organization in America, so take your Steelers' love and shove it. EDIT:
December 20, 201014 yr Author Well, it's not my fault the Steel Curtain closed on the Browns broken windows. And it's fine if the Browns have the largest fan organization in America. I mean, there has to be a help line for those who are Browns fans so have at it. Shit, I'd be a Browns Backer Member myself if I were a Browns fan. Joe Schmo: "Hi ColDay, welcome to the Browns Backers fan club. The largest fan organization in America!" ColDay: "Hi Joe, I'm a recovering Browns fan from the 80's and I just want an organization that feels my pain." Joe Schmo: "Oh really? Well you've come to the right place, don'tchaknow!" ColDay: "Thanks Joe. I mean, I know other teams totally have like bigger fan bases and stuff but us Browns fans...we have organization that harks us back to the days John D. Rockefeller! My dad was a union man and now I'm a unionized man with the Browns!" (8 months later) Jeff Bridges: "And the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture goes to...*cough*...ColDayMan!" ColDay: "Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'd like to thank the Academy for recognizing my work as a disgruntled, delusioned Browns fan joining a purposeless organization in a 70's ranch house in Colerain Township. I'd also like to thank Sidney, Forest, and Denzel for paving the way for a black man to play this role meant for a John Candy stereotype. Oh, and I'd like to thank Popeye's for sponsoring this little hidden gem played at the Agora, Neon, 20th Century, and Drexel Grandview. Thank you, thank you, and fight on!" /end scene ------------------------------------------ And if you ever call me a Steelers fan again, you're BANNED!!! :D "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
December 20, 201014 yr ^ yup it is the largest. Just last year ESPN ranked Browns' fans as the third largest and best fan base. Bengals were in the 20 somethings. Who cares about cincy anyways? Most people outside of Ohio think its part of kentucky.
December 20, 201014 yr A Browns fan would never use "totally" and "like" in the same sentence.... negating whatever you said in the rest of that post.

December 20, 201014 yr 3. Browns Consecutive sellouts: 72 | Season-ticket waiting list: Undisclosed Browns fans are some of the most dedicated in the NFL. Cleveland is a football-crazed town year-round, and its loyalty has been tested like no other city. Cleveland lost its team to Baltimore following the 1995 season, and the "new" Browns have taken nearly a decade to get it together. Yet the fans remain rabid and hopeful every year, sometimes to a fault. Cleveland fans travel well and the "Browns Backers" are one of the NFL's largest and well-organized fan groups. About the only thing lacking is the stadium atmosphere, which has yet to reach the level of the old Municipal Stadium. -- James Walker
December 20, 201014 yr 26. Bengals Consecutive sellouts: 36 | Season-ticket waiting list: Undisclosed Bengals fans are disenchanted with their team. Cincinnati has just one winning season in the past 17 years, and during that span the city has grown accustomed to having a sub-par football team. Cincinnati historically is a baseball town, not a football town, and there is no natural pigskin rival to root against. If anything, Bengals fans spew most of their venom on their own. They're upset at star receiver Chad Johnson for his antics and wanting to get out of town. They turned on Carson Palmer recently for supporting USC -- his alma mater -- over Ohio State. A majority of fans turned long ago on the Bengals' front office led by owner Mike Brown. Granted, Cincinnati does draw well and has more loyal followers today than during the lean Dave Shula/Dick LeBeau/Bruce Coslet years. But Bengals fans remain very skeptical of their franchise. -- James Walker
December 20, 201014 yr CDM yesterday marked the 3rd straight game the bungles were blacked out locally. HAHAHAHHAHA
December 20, 201014 yr Thats because new stadiums have to many lounges where everybody in the mid section stays in there instead of sitting in their seats. Thats why that whole section of new stadiums always are empty. Everybody is just inside. And its hard to get hardcore fans when the price of tickets are for the rich who are just mild fans and go their to mingle.
December 20, 201014 yr Author LOL!!! What a hoot! I like how it went from "America's largest" to "ONE of the NFL's largest..." And this little gem: Browns fans are some of the most dedicated in the NFL. Yes, like when they moved that whole team to Baltimore, those Browns Backers were dedicated by moving themselves to Federal Hill, bar hopping on Light, and watch Ray Lewis win a Super Bowl. Now THAT'S dedication for an organization. Oh James Walker, you made my day. "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers

Gotcha. CDM yesterday marked the 3rd straight game the bungles were blacked out locally. HAHAHAHHAHA Well that's a good thing for the Browns fans, isn't it? I mean, they were blacked out when it came to, well, losing to the Bengals. I still, to this day, can't understand the logic of talking ish when a team blatantly loses to someone that obviously knows their own faults. I don't call that being a fan, I call that being a fool. Thank God for Ohio State! :D "You don't just walk into a bar and mix it up by calling a girl fat" - buildingcincinnati speaking about new forumers
December 20, 201014 yr Author But this is just too easy. I mean, it's the Browns, not the Steelers (a legit team). My Bengals suck ass but they beat the Browns, who obviously suck worse ass. So this isn't even a fair fight. I'll pray for the Browns. They need Jesus or at least Joakim Noah! December 20, 201014 yr Author ^unlock the bungles thread if you're going to talk sh!t in here. FOOL.LOL. Unless I'm missing something, there has never been a "Bungles" thread. Now there IS a Bengals thread that is unlocked for all to see and praise and worship but I don't expect Cleveland Browns fans to actually read. I mean, it's bad enough for them to hit that "Power" button to watch little orange helmets (which are supposed to be Brown but that's another whole topic) lose to little striped helmets. Oh wait, you couldn't watch it because no one in America cared, including Cincinnati. December 21, 201014 yr the game being blacked out in cinci says a lot of positive things about that city...the fans had the good sense to stay away because that game sucked all the way around. this weekend since im off work i am still going to go out anyway and watch the browns play themselves, err i mean the ravens, but the end cant come soon enough. ugh.

December 21, 201014 yr Author Well, I didn't realize the Cincinnati Bengals football club was so mutually exclusive that fans couldn't actually be counted under "Bengals." As we all know, a fanless football team is much like a basketball team without their star player. You know, like the Cavs. Or anybody on the Browns squad. December 27, 201014 yr Well, one more game...then we can see what comes of the team and staff. Such a disappointing final stretch, I hope they can muster out a bang at Pittsburgh. Let's think of positive thoughts for next year.... Joshua Cribbs with a whole foot, Montario Hardesty's debut...
December 31, 201014 yr I really hope phil dawson stays and HOLY CRAP... watch this video, if not atleast the last 15 seconds. Start at like 4:15 Phil Dawson Part 2

January 3, 201114 yr thats right -- a win ahead of the bungles is a win ahead! however, although we moved up ahead of predictions a few weeks ago, unfortunately we lose out in the draft order to the 'gals: the complete 2011 NFL draft order (* indicates position will be determined by playoffs): 1. Carolina (2-14) 2. Denver (4-12) 3. Buffalo (4-12) 4. Cincinnati (4-12) 5. Arizona (5-11) 6. Cleveland (5-11) 7. San Francisco (6-10) 8. Tennessee (6-10) 9. Dallas (6-10) 10. Washington (6-10) 11. January 3, 201114 yr Lets revisit this in August. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of news in this thread in the next few days about what Holmgren plans to do to make sure we're ready for August.
January 3, 201114 yr Yes, I wouldn't be surprised that Holmgren pulls the trigger. It wasn't that the Browns were 5-11, it's how they finished the season after peaking in the middle of the season. Unlike last year's 5-11, the Browns regressed toward the end of the year. And that may be all the justification Holmgren needs in order to get rid of Mangini and put in his own coaching staff. There will be probably be many other off-season moves regarding players and, of course, the draft. But much of this will be determined by the players-owners negotiations too. We won't have to wait until August to fire up this and the NFL thread again. Not even close!
