But, since Sundance is already an internationally known event, it would have a significantly larger impact on Cincinnati's brand than Blink does. Totally agree. This is why I think we have a stronger shot than most people realize. Having the Chamber and its various entities/connections pushing to make Sundance huge would really boost our ability as a region to leverage it. This is why Blink mattered. It shows that Cincinnati can do big things and that we are ready for primetime. Cincinnati needs some big wins like Sundance to bring an influx of new people and new ideas to the area.

What a great showcase for the city and also so Sundance could see that their festival could really grow here. (Attendance for Sundance is approximately 160k over 10 days, Blink was over 2 million in 4 days).

If we get Sundance (and after we get a Sports Commission) and some big sports events, the returns on the Blink investment will look extremely good. Once Cincinnati becomes a larger presence on the national radar, local leadership should make it a priority to welcome new voices/businesses/communities/investment. Would be a pity to do all this work and attract all this attention without converting it into jobs/investments/influx of population.
