Posted January 27, 201015 yr Let's hear them: -Looking for a beach, infinity pools, dining, activities, safety, cleanliness, and no children. Thanks.
January 27, 201015 yr The Caves, Negril, jamaica. Very small, amazing food and drink, no kids, death-defying cliff jumps. Privacy. Very secure. Laid back barefoot luxury. Fantastic staff. Activities. No beach but it doesn't matter. Have been there multiple times. You never want to leave. Check the Trip Advisor reports. all Island Outpost resorts are pretty special. Expensive, but worth it. Also had amazing experiences at Goldeneye.
January 27, 201015 yr Screw a "resort". Go on a cruise ship if you want that type atmosphere. Although it is not in the "caribbean" I would take a look at Hamilton in Bermuda. You can find everything you would find at a resort and still be in a safe area. The whole island is nothing but about 10 miles wide. Great beaches. Great activities - golf, jetskis, horseback riding, etc. Good food selection too. The downer is that it is expensive so make sure it fits within your budget. Sorry for the non-responsive post ;)
January 28, 201015 yr "Anse Chastanet" in St. Lucia is pretty unbelievable, verrrrry secluded, secure, and attentive staff. 2 seperate beaches, 4 restaurants/bars, amazing views of the pitons. Johny Depp stayed here during filming of "Pirates of the Carib". The paparazzi still managed to find me however, and I ended up in People- long story.
February 10, 201015 yr im not big on the carribean, but st martin is nice too, its low key. we've stayed in the french north side on anse marcel & marigot (there is a short ferry ride to anguilla out of marigot). you can shop and gamble in phillipsburg on the southern dutch side.
February 12, 201015 yr You people with time for vacations...... I guess y'all didn't get the memo that us Ohioand are only supposed to go to Florida's gulf shore for vacation ;)
February 12, 201015 yr We're going to Sandals St. Lucia for our honeymoon in October... I'll let you know how it was when we get back! I've done quite a bit of research lately and Anse Chastanet in St. Lucia is unbelievable. It was a bit out of our price range and just didn't offer the variety of activities we were looking for so we decided on Sandals. There are 3 Sandals resorts on St. Lucia and when you stay at one of them you have access to all 3 of them and they're all pretty close together.
February 12, 201015 yr ^ I will be on my honeymoon too Hoot. Trying to find the right place for the right price is like pulling teeth.
