Here are some pics that I took the other night. On some of these, I may have the same scene. My explanation for this: I couldn't figure out which shot I like the best.

Anyway, these where taken when it was very dark outside (except for the first couple), my camera makes them look like the sun was starting to set.

Hope you enjoy.

Sorry, no audio soundtrack for this one!

The Baum-Longworth-Taft House, a National Historic Landmark built about 1820 for Martin Baum, is the oldest domestic wooden structure in situ locally and is considered one of the finest examples of Federal architecture in the Palladian style in the country.

Very nice - your gritty shot has a great look.

First Ohio president was William Henry Harrison, then Grant, then Hayes, and then Garfield...then Benjamin Harrison, then McKinley, then Taft, then Harding...

gorgeous, nice holiday inspiring shots. i loved it.

Oh, my Gawd --- kudos on some of the most visually stunning and atmospheric photos I have seen in quite a while -- and to think that this is in Ohio.

Cincy always stuns me.

What a great shot of Piatt Park!  Looks like something you would see in a small town in the 40's.

Absolutely breathtaking! Excellent job!

What is the story on that red brick federal house across from Lytle Park?

This one turned out blurry, but for some reason, I love the way this looks. (Mmm...Gritty) - it looks like a pastel drawing to me for some reason.  incredible shots.

If you are referring to the one with the US and Ohio flags, I believe that is the Cincinnati Bar Association.

The pictures are beautiful. I especially loved The Baum-Longworth-Taft House. while i haven't been to Cincy in years I always have appreciated the fine architecture there.

By the I bring greetings to you from Detroit. I saw these pics posted on a forum I am affiliated with there. I will stop by and browse around from time to time.

The Cincinnati Bar Association is located on 6th across from Shanghai Mama's.

And we have had Eight presidents:

    Garfield, James Abram

    Grant, Ulysses Simpson

    Harding, Warren G.

    Harrison, Benjamin

    Harrison, William Henry

    Hayes, Rutherford B.

    McKinley, William

    Taft, William Howard

This used to be the most, but with W I think Texas also has 8.

We still hold the title for most astronauts at 24. :-)

Great tour. I can't wait to be back in the Nati.

Virginia is the other state that has a lot; I think Texas only has a few (a couple of Bushes and LBJ).  Who has the most depends on what you count, birthplace or "home".

Thanks for those stats! Ohio is the shizzle... such a powerful state!

William Henry could be and often is counted as from Virginia.

the bush's are from connecticut not texas. as texans say, they just wear the hat. so i think "ah hi ya" is still number one for number of presidents born there, but i dk for sure anymore either.

^Virginia has seven, right?

Ohio only has seven presidents actaully born in the state, I believe.  One of the Harrisons was born in Indiana.

It's interesting that Pennsylvania, one of the key (pardon the pun) states in our history, only has one president to claim (and not a very good one).

Not Indiana- W.H. Harrison was born in Virginia.  B. Harrison was born in Ohio, but if I'm not mistaken, he was "from" Indiana.  Anyway, that gives Vrigina 8 by birth, and Ohio 7.

Well aren't YOU special, Greene County porker!?!?

How many states claim Lincoln?  3 right?  How about Reagan?  Is he a California or Illinois president.

If it makes you feel better, if I became President, I would let Ohio claim me.  I would fight tooth and nail to never let Florida or Illinois do it although my birthplace will always be NY.

Well, you do make it sound like I won first prize at the county fair...

Lincoln must have been freezing!

My personal fave is the one looking down Fourth St. with the Christmas lights.  I saved that one.
